Okay, this one is kinda on me, because I didn’t read it earlier, that it ended on January 2nd… But c’mon, you really didn’t let it last until season 2 end?!
Today I just logged back, because between the years is a very busy time, and wanted to farm the other cosmetics and claim what I had farmed already only to see it gone.
I am unable to phrase how disappointed I am right now. Why would you not let it run AT LEAST until 17th?! Winter is until 21st March guys… I see why it may had ended on Season 3 launch, but not at all on January 2nd D:
Why just delete it after new year?!
I mean, nothing I can do now, but the amount of grind I wasted now is redicolous. I can’t believe it. That’s it for me, no reason to play any other second in S2.
This is going to sound kind forward but the event dates were advertised before it began and there was the date published on the right hand side of the character select screen so you woulf see ot every single time you logged on.
This really is your failt but they will likely run the event or a version of it next year. Chin up

The spirit of his post was he is disappointed because he was unable to finish it, and just wishes it was kept through the end of the season. he isnt blaming anyone but himself, but that doesnt mean he cannot be disappointed.

Still I don’t really understand why they just stopped it, it could have run easily until end of season 2, there is no obvious reason why it couldn’t - That was my intention to point out. I just wished it would have lasted longer. I have to accept I lost all my grind because I didn’t read the end date properly

Nope, just my opinion on what i read. Sure he said its kind of on him but then ranted on and on about it. Not trolling, i am just an advocate of personal accountability. I think you are reading too much into my two sentences.
It’s not a rant, it’s just disappointment. There is nothing left todo now on season 2, while there is still 10 days left. Maybe/Probably I am not alone with that. But it’s fine. I made my point, that I don’t see any good reason why you would not leave it until the end of the season, they didn’t. So what.
If they read it, they may get the point, may do it differently in the future, who knows. We will see. Nothing more to say about it, for me it’s back to BG3 now until January 17th
They aren’t like Fortnite in terms of never bringing back old content. Ultimately, these unlocks were terrible. However, I personally had to grind for them because I’m a completionist.
When the game first launched, they had these “exclusive” Twitch rewards that can only be obtained by viewing / gifting subs to players. I did it…
5 months later, Blizzard ended up just putting those items on their Shop for free.
I can almost guarantee that these same items will be up next winter. No way will they fork out another dime to create more free content.
Could have done that and instead just asked for the reason, why they took away an activity in the end of the season removing something todo in the last days, the disappointment was too strong, tho.
