Where can i join public games?

Hey all!

So i am level 62 and wanna start play in public, all my friends are different level then me so we cant play together.

I wonder where can i join public games like in d2 or d3?

It doesn’t exist in D4. Not sure how you made it to level 62 without realizing this, and I’m sorry to bear the news for you.

I would suggest to go to a town and try recruiting random people!

You would have to open up Battle.net and install/launch Diablo 3.

You can play with friends but what happens depends upon the level. If they are all under level 50, you can play in WT1 or 2 but XP will be… lacking. If they are all over level 50, you can all play in WT3 as long as the Capstone Dungeon has been completed. This can be done in a group.

Because of monster scaling, other players will only be attacked (and only get XP from) by monsters close to their level but this caps at level 50 WT2. After that monster scaling returns but only for WT3. When you get to Level 70(?), you must head to WT4 in order for monster scaling to return. This goes to monster level 150.

As of now, there are only 12 people on any gaming server at any one time. This is for many reasons but the primary one is so that you do not have thousands of people competing to complete the “kill 10 skeletons Quest”. Otherwise, it might take DAYS to finish this quest.

There is a find party tab in the forums. You can locate additional groups (above your friends) there.

This is really strange, why cant we join public games?

Whats the reason behind it?

Its. not like there is a chat either like in d3 where we can LFG for farming dungeons etc.

You don’t need to group with anyone except for dungeons. Out in the over world if you encounter someone doing something you can just join them, no need for a party. If you want to make friends and invite people out there you can do that too.

Easier to just think of the entire over world as one big public game.

But that does not work Vindicare, i have invited around 40 ppl, around 10 have accepted and went doing other things.

Finding 4 ppl that wanna do dungeons just running around in the open world and inviting ppl/chat with them is terrible. Try it yourself and you will see.

The downgrade from d3 is real… You know all the QoL that took a decade to implement? IT’S ALL GONE LMAO

I heard on pc you hit O to bring up list of local players and can form groups from there.

On console its probably different probably require u to be xbox friends first

Join a clan - I cannot stress this enough - no likes random invites from people. 19 out of 20 times - it will get ignored. When you join a clan, its a completely different ball game, you are still a random stranger, but since you are in the clan, people will fall over themselves to group with you.

In game chat is dead.
Forum is bloated with carry requests…
Discord is bloated with carry requests…

Maybe a /general like in poe wouldn’t have been that bad of an idea after all.

The entire game is a public game lol. Did you get lost on your way to the D3 forums or something?
