The patch goes live in the morning supposedly but we have 0 clue on any changes or any actual patch notes? Normally we get patch notes a couple days before the patch I thought? They are delaying on purpose because we are all gonna be pissed when they didn’t fix any actual problems and just fixed (nerfed) all the builds everyone plays…

They typically come out with the Patch. You can expect them at the same time, or shortly after the Patch goes live. I don’t think they gave a time, but that is usually afternoon Pacific Time when they release a patch.
While it is possible they release the Patch notes earlier, don’t count on it.
I think they plan on also releasing a more detailed Season Blog tomorrow too.

Patch notes are something they should really follow other company’s examples with and post them a fair amount of time before a patch goes live so people can read them beforehand.

It would be nice to get them the day before rather than have to read 6600 words on the day of the patch. I’d rather play the game than have to read 6600 words immediately beforehand.

I figured that, the patch goes live somewhere in middle of the day and patch notes minutes before I am guessing. What a dumb way to do things…

Even if it was miniscule, D3 would have notes before hand.
WoW literally will post stuff months ahead and alter them as needed.
Naw, Id say tomorrow is going to be a bunch of nothing and they know that the community is going to be a bit upset.

Joe P. said something about they don’t like to release patch notes until they are translated to all the languages and they can release to the world at the same time. Apparently it is 6600 words and it takes years before they can get it all translated.
Said 6600 words will probably be mostly “fixed a bug that caused a yellow pixel in the snow in this one specific area” Followed by some big nerfs to compensate for new gems. Followed by a couple things no one cares about getting that .004% increase.

The final patch notes for most games happen the day of. If there is a PTR (D3 and WoW have them) then we have PTR notes ahead of time. VERY rarely Blizz releases the final notes ahead of time. They have made some improvements with WoW lately where they do release them earlier.
D3 on the other hand, years and years of “when do the final patch notes come out!!!” posts. Answer is the day of the patch.
It does not take years, but Localization is a pain in the backside and does take a lot of time. Multiple people, multiple approvals, all the supported languages. That goes for Patch notes and all the related News Blogs for Season. “Published” stuff has a lot more hoops to jump through.

While i can appreciate the pessimism and wouldnt be surprised, i think they are delaying the release because this may make or break D4 going forward.
We had beta and then 1.5 months of sorta-kinda beta, so they have had plenty of realtime data to work with and plenty of complaints, so im sure they wanted their team to get plenty of rest over the weekend before the community treats their chest like their personal toliet to take a dump on patch note day if these notes just suck.
Really hoping for some actual QoL changes plus some actual changes to gameplay for each class, or this ride might already be over.

I mean… I don’t really care when the patch notes come out as long as they come out with the patch. Most likely the notes will not include everything and datamine will discover more.
After seeing how they sledgehammer stuff since beta, nerf fun overnight, take forever to fix stuff that doesn’t actually work, and hype up a 13 page patch notes that contained 2% buffs to basic skills… yeah I am pessimistic.
One of the few negative takes toward Blizzard I actually agree with. A 24 hour period at least, to digest patch notes and theorycraft is all but mandatory for a seasonal game. PoE does this right with usually a 3 day headstart on patchnotes before a major patch takes effect.
