Ok, after 50 kills in a row, Andriel dropped absolutely nothing. After farming all the stupid mats, then killing this guy so many times, not a single mythic. After a total of maybe 150 kills altogether, not a damn thing. The drop rate for mythic gear is garbage. Please fix this Blizzard.
Mythics do seem rare this season, I made 1 from the seasonal quest (+lilith kill), randomly, and got Shroud of False Death which is my new favorite Mythic ever.
And I had one drop from Grigoire in Torment 1 (Melted Heart). This is across 2 characters, and I am at paragon 251 I think.
All over the place. They are rarer then S3-S5 but the still drop like candy. Just not free candy anymore.
Ive been shut out this season so far as well, as fact Ive Never found one… But only do it solo for the rewards - yea right !!
Astonished by the kids who say mythic drop like butter. We don’t play 10 hours day my friends.
Yes, the mythics drop rate is terrible. As well as the crafting recipe.
I found plus or minus 50 but it really feels like the drop rate has been nerfed recently. Anyway only 3 of those have been 2GA and of those only 1 had two worthwhile affixes so basically 40 pieces of scrap, purple or not.
Hi Welcome to RNG. I have done Duriel runs of 200+ and got bupkis and I have done runs of 10 bosses and got 4GA unique items and multiple Mythics.
A 2% drop rate does not mean you will get 2 Mythics in 100 runs. as has been widely discussed here in the forum in order for that to pan out it has to be infinity runs… the closer you get to infinity runs the more you can expect to average 2 drops per 100
Get more mats and go again friend. Mats have never been easier to get than they are this season.
they are more rare than prior seasons for sure. They reduced the drop rate, blizzard did not explicitly said “reduce”, they said “adjusted” that usually means going lower not higher LOL…
I am barely ok with this drop rate I am a bit disappointed but will live lol. I much prefer previous season drop rate.
Ancestral on other hand is way out of tuned, the drop rate needs to go WAY up …
I used to play about 3 hrs a day. I must have 20, maybe 25 in my stash. So not 10 hours a day like some, not 2 hours a week like super casuals. Seems like a pretty solid drop rate to me.
Durial and Andariel haven’t been good sources for mythics for me. Most of mine came from Lord Zir and Varshan.
Varshan might be the sleeper source. He’s cheaper on summoning material cost and easier to kill.
Tribute of Ascendance. Better chances. Just do lots of whispers.
Those are rookie numbers.
Try 200-500 runs.
Ok, mythics aren’t rare on my end.
I got 3 mythic dropped for 10 minute boss farming.
That was weeks ago.
Now, I don’t like play this PooP season.
DEVS Note: See you in Season 7
It’s been significantly nerfed, as have Andariel and Duriel. Ascendence went from 6 for 10 to one for eleven. If that’s simply a rng anomaly then someone should call Guinness because it’s a pretty massive one.
Absolute drop rates are definitely lower.
It’s also true that boss materials are easier to find but I’m not sure if this is true for all torment levels. It’s not an issue for SB since they barely spend anytime in lower torments but other classes definitely require a lot of farming in lower torments.
On the other hand I don’t think drop rates should be increased for mythics but they should make crafting them a bit easier so that you’ll have that one crucial item more reliably.
Had zero luck with these. Run a dozen of them and gotten no mythics.
RNG being RNG.
I was drowning in boss mats and even found a couple of mythics in the open world. For me it’s the GA legendaries that are rare. Wait. Let me rephrase that. The USEFUL GA legendaries are rare.
If there were a build that needed single resistance pieces, life on hit, life on lucky hit, etc… then I would be killing it! Unfortunately, there isn’t that I’m aware of and that’s all I find.
Jimmy took them all. Damn Jimmy to hell!
what i did was hoard up enough boss mats to fill 2 mules and then run all the bosses, and then i’d end up with 85 tribute of titan’s so i’d spend the next day clearing those out and i’d end up with more boss mats than i started with, and then i’d run all of those and end up with 119 tributes of titans, then after running through those and i plow through all the bosses again i’ve got 140 tribute of titans and i’m ready to go again.
i ended up with plenty of loot and i obtained enough mythics in just 3 bossing sessions to fill an entire mule. now i’m deleting dupes of them with the same greater affixes just to try to make room for more, because i don’t want to take hoarding to the extreme and it’s absolutely stupid that we cannot sell or trade these items.
but yeah, you can turn boss farming into an endless loop just from hoarding up some mats and then running undercity. it’s not that bad of a grind, you get more out of it than what you put in, and you’ll get a nice bit of gold and some loot out of it too. i find it more worthwhile than farming pits until your eyes bleed.
when you’re killing the same boss a few hundred times and then moving on to do the same with the next ones, you’ll be swimming in mythics lol. it just takes a bit of time investment to get there. i’m basically at the point where if the next mythic doesnt drop with multiple greater affixes, i may as well just scrap it without even looking at it because it’s probably an exact dupe of one that i’ve already got, or it’s hit an unwanted greater affix.
once again i wish we could trade these. absolutely stupid that we can’t.
Basically what I did but to far less of an extreme. I would run 5-10 undercities. Then all the bosses. Wash, rinse, repeat. It’s great for farming gold by selling the unique to the vendor.
the gold payout is nice every solo boss kill is like half a million, and that all adds up when youre grinding out boss runs all night.
i just scrap all the trash for the next time i go ham on masterworking. i got rawhide for days bro.
