So many legendary drops so few Ancestral, and when Ancestral do drop they are mostly weapon drops. While I understand Blizzard wants them to be “rare” this is too tight. Also, with the new way Codex and Paragon points work, I for one want to KEEP my progress. The constant resetting in the bast wasn’t bad because we didn’t have to invest as much time. Now, is another story. It is going to make a lot of people salty when they lose their progress. Or they might jump to that “other game” about to release.
Overall I love all the changes. Just those few gripes. Too few Ancestrals in tier 4. High level pits should be dropping them, right? right? Meat or Treat loot sucks. That was a perfect opportunity wasted.
Negative aside, good job overall. Now make it better.

Ofc it is, you’re gonna upgrade your codex one day, eventually
But that day is not today
After over 50h of not getting anything I gave up and tried barbarian. After trying barbarian for about 25h I almost uninstalled the game today. Real life responsibilities kicked in and I left but I feel like I’m almost at the end of my patience. Nothing I do feels meaningful or rewarding.

Easily experiment several builds thanks to the shared Paragon they say. How I am going to do that when I cannot even finish properly gearing a single one?

make infernal orders. In 1 hour you will have about 10 to 15 ancestors. I don’t see a problem with that. What irritates me is the aspect issue at most.
Some ideas that might help:
- Infernal horde chest drops a minimum of one Ancestral. Seeing two or three occasionally.
- Bosses drop unique Ancestrals pretty regularly at higher torments.
- Gamble at the obal dealer. Ancestrals pop out every 20 to 30 rolls.
- There’s a undercity offering that guarantees an Ancestral for the offeror.

Yeah, having issues finding upgrades myself. Doing all of these has helped, particularly with unique Ancestrals. I think I’m set there. Finding better regular Ancestrals and higher aspect rolls has become the issue.
i havent found gloves all season with + core skills and my build calls for that, never mind an ancestral. To counter that, i found 4 star ancestral Yen boots.

Ancestral Uniques are easy. You know exactly where to go to get them. Multiple GA Uniques have even a decent chance to drop. Main stat is usually crap though. Affixes on legendary are just as bad as they were before. The big difference is that in previous seasons quantity was able to compensate for that.

I find ancestral often enough (1 & 2GA). Haven’t found many 3GA. I don’t think they need to be or should be common like legendaries. Uniques are far too common as well IMO.
Pit 110 drops ancestral gears consistently, you just need to go high enough.

For whatever reason I got a lot more GA, double GA and even a triple GA Ancestral which was actually good right after hitting 60 in the first few days of the season… and almost nothing since then.
Amusingly enough I just got the first triple GA I’ve seen since then and… the game booted me right after getting it, as I looked at the stats, but before it had saved the character/inventory. So it was gone when I logged back in. You can’t make this stuff up. 
I mean it was only Eyes in the Dark, but still.
I’ve been as high as pit 137 and while I have seen the occasional drop they have been garbage. Might get a ring with one GA. Might even see one with 2 GA. Isn’t this gear supposed to be dropping more easily and freely at this level? Making it so hard to get, you can never get it is WHY I quit playing World of Warcraft. I hunted the same boss once a day for an entire year to get the rare drop from him. In an entire year I never got one to drop so I uninstalled the game. Items NEED to be obtainable if you put in the work.
I only farm Pit 110 as I can complete it under 3 minutes, already done few hundred times till all my glyph is 100. GA gear drop more common than Pit 100, it has fulfill all my need for Ancestral gears. But still not an ideal solution to upgrade the codex with an acceptable speed. Nevertheless this still the most efficient way to target farm the Ancestral gears. Besides you can get plenty of Wave 6 Hordes key, which is also a faster way to get GA gears.
anyways…the way ancestrals and aspect are dropping in this season SUCKS!!
