Zombies, cultists, ghosts, cannibals, skeletons, goatmen. I’ve just described 90% of what you will be fighting in this game in almost every zone.
These are all just different forms of humans. This game has no monster variety. It’s all humans, it’s call of duty with magic.

Yea that’s my exact point you have to seek out non human enemies in an action RPG about hell. True or false about 90% of your time you will be killing reskinned humans in this game.
If that keeps you interested then far be it from me to tell you how to have fun.
For me though every quest, every cave, ever cellar, every temple is just full of reskinned humans.
So the fallens, succubuses, opressors, hellhounds, the Butcher, and some i don’t know the name of suddenly, are nothing?

You forgot wood spirits and quillboar to name a few but again not the point.
The vast majority of monsters in every zone of the game are reskinned humans. Walk around a bit and look at it.
Demons mostly come from hell tides if you are not level 50+ you wont see demons only during the story and certain areas and fallen are classes as a demon so there are plenty of those around.
not gonna lie I kinda felt the same as OP. I sorta miss the giant non boss actual demons and hellish monsters to grind.
and I wish there were just more mobs, there are so few instances when you can actually clear a screen full of mobs and get that big whoa moment.
Yeah maybe complete the story before saying there isn’t demons in the game…they are there. However I agree there isn’t a lot of different monsters.
