Why is Diablo IV called Diablo when there’s no Diablo in Diablo IV??
We can prove that Diablo does not exist in Diablo 4.
Does Blizzard know that Diablo does not exist in Diablo 4? Yes.
In my view Diablo 4 is appears to be a fraudulent misrepresentation to coerce fans of this series to purchase the game. Only a 2-hour play refund window to boot.
Do we have grounds for litigation? Any lawyers in the house?
I’m betting Diablo will return in one of the expansions.
Also, “Diablo” is basically a brand name now. It doesn’t mean anything in terms of what’s in the game.
We know there are two expansions in development. I presume the first will be for mephisto and the second will be Diablo. Baal can have some DLC patch.

It’s not any different than Silent Hill 4 being called Silent Hill when the entire game takes place in Ashfield and not Silent Hill. Games have done this for years.

It does matter cause he was in every other main game. I havent toughed immortal and wont so i dont know there. but LITERALLY is the name of the game and has been in every one. so you cant say “its just a brand name now”. This is the first main title to not have diablo. if they released 2-3 games without him. maybe MAYBE its ok.
