They made such a beautiful and immersive 3D world, I wish in future expansions that they add the option of playing the game in first person or third person point of view where the camera is slightly behind and above your character like in the elder scroll games. Even if the game isn’t meant to be played that way it would be a nice touch. If anyone has played Anno 1800, which is a top down RTS/city builder, they have a nice feature where you can walk around your city in first person mode. Im wishing D4 would have that feature later on, it would be nice.

Could I know why does Diablo need to turn into Borderlands and Elden Ring? Will Borderlands and Elden Ring turn into Diablo in return? Or are just Borderlands and Elden Ring players the only worthy to have a product for them?
Some of us are playing Diablo and not those others precisely because of NOT being 1st person or over the shoulder. Being isometric is part of Diablo’s DNA.
What you’re asking is to alienate Diablo playerbase. Show a little respect for others.
I would really prefer a third person action cam over the mouse clicking, at least give us wasd…

Warcraft was isometric and an RTS, but hey…look what happened, they changed some stuff and took over the gaming world for a bit…
Things can change for the better, and you can keep playing your old stuff, just like they still let you.

You’ve jumped to conclusions too early. It doesnt need to be like any of those games. I’m just stating it would be a cool feature to be able to experience the world that they made in a 1st/3rd person view to just soak in the environment, play a little bit then switch back whenever i feel like it. Whenever a cutscene happens the environment looks very immersive and engaging and i wanna experience it a little bit more. I mentioned a game that does this. Anno 1800, an RTS/City builder but lets you walk around the city you build in 1st person view. Then after looking around admiring the place for 10 minutes, i zoom back out to play the game. The great part about it is that its all based on your choice.
There’s a reason why they named it WoW and not Warcraft 4.
