Rupture doesn’t apply Enhanced Rupture on elite enemies. Removed hp heals back to the enemy, but it works ok on normal enemies. It’s clearly a bug. Stop ignoring this issue, without it pure bleed builds feel lacking and wrong. They are already weak enough, compare ratio of ww barbs to bleed/thorns. I have literally seen 2 people using bleed in my 91 levels.
This cant get enough attention.
Also where are the proper pull skills?
Grasp (chains) isnt nearly enough, and the only item i’ve seen for batb to pull in enemies is for whirlwind barb.
Like OP said, there’s far too many.
We need the same control, speed and power on other barb builds too.
All these meta using build copyers are gonna be bored and stop playing the game within 2 months anyway so come on and show us some love

Seems like every time I want to do any build, there’s some issue that just ruins it. Whether that’s bugs, stats not working as you would expect (hopefully just bugs), more bugs, undertuned, bugs, etc.
I find all the wrong loot, but it sometimes makes me think “oh hey, that’d pair well with X and Y legendaries and make a neat build” but nope, doesn’t work out that way.
I will post in this thread every day before I will reach level 100 to keep it alive so maybe devs will notice it.

doesnt work. it is my main build rend/rupture.
the bleed damage just isnt there anymore. it like half assed heals the enemies. its supposed to re apply the bleed from the explosion but doesnt. theres so many things wrong with the skill and bleed in general. i feel like i do absolutely 0 damage compared to what i was before.
Also hope that this gets fixed in the big patch coming prior to season 1.

2h sword expertise bleed and aspect bleeds arent triggering rage of harrogath/ dismebowel is also a HUGE thing which has do be adressed by blizzard… such things shouldnbe highest priority
it quite literally is the core component in how the bleed works. and it doesnt .now we do literally 0 damage it is MADDENING
They will not fix it they do not care about you using a bad ability, they just dont want you to use an ability that in niche situations works too well.
They disabled rupture buffing from multiple aspects you cannot buff it anymore. This is only because they could not design an ability and actually make it do what it says.
Rupture has been severely nerfed ever since they enabled breserk ripping. They wont disclose this since it is a “bug fix”.
Running tiers 50-60 solo with bleed/thorns and Rupture is just a waste of the slot. Steel Grasp allows for you to cancel enemy animations and stack enemis on top of you for Aspect of Inner Calm for 30% damage boost, Wrath of Berserker gives you better dps against Elites and Unstoppable. Rupture… allows for you to kill enemies 2 seconds faster while locking you in animation that will get you oneshot by environmental elements.
The main gameplay loop for bleed builds should be - gather enemies in 180 degree arc in front of you, stack bleed - explode them with Rapture. But there is no point in that ability because it’s much easier to kite enemies and it gives 0 benefit for the player, except for laughable 20% attack speed for 4 seconds or heal for 15% hp that is literally nothing.
Really sad having found this thread. I was getting all these aspects for bleed stuff, and it seems paragon legendary nodes really want you to do bleed damage. Then I see a core ability is just flat out busted. Cool.
Don’t worry, it’s still playable. My best is tier 57 solo right now, level 95. You just need to swap Rupture for something else and forget about Fields Of Crimson. Build Core Damage, Damage to Close Enemies, Damage to Vulnerable Enemies and Damage Reduction from Bleeding enemies.
Yes, you always feel like an underdog, but under right conditions you are one of the few classes capable of facetanking mobs like a boss. Does it pay out in the end? Not now, Wait until they will buff bleed, it’s a given at this point if they balance stuff based on statistics.
Also 300-400k bleed on elites just melts them, but game is just badly balanced after tier 50 and you will find yourself being oneshot by bulls in the wilds if you didn’t pop your Challenging scream in-before. No matter how much damage reduction you will stack in game will always favour burst builds that kill before even being damaged or stunlock enemies for 100% duration of the fight.
I wish this game had some kind of armory system like WoW so I could link my character in-here.
I played rend while leveling and even then it felt underwhelming.
There was a video of a streamer playing rend bleed (without rupture) in T80s during closed beta and he slapped. What happened?
The paragons are not for rend, they are for other core skills and aspects that allow other core skills to hijack bleed buffs.
Breserk ripping, ww bleed node, etc allow other core skills to tap in all bleed buffs but not the other way around.
Rend needs massive help in terms of aspects.
Daily bump, I can see a lot of people also miss Rupture.
I think that bug was there in all of the betas as well, was that not fixed still? I recall Rupture casually healing mobs.
