When on earth are you going to manage the servers? Ever since the latest patch, the game constantly lags and the latency never drops below 100ms. Why is nothing being done about this issue? Many players are suffering because of these server problems—why are you ignoring such a basic, fundamental flaw?
I’m a hardcore player, and I can’t even count how many times I’ve died because of this lag. Fix this core issue—seriously.
For reference, my internet is 1Gbps, and everything else runs flawlessly. The only time I experience lag or high latency is exclusively in this game. There were issues even before the patch, but now it’s far worse, and a large number of users are struggling because of it.
Enough is enough. Get your servers in order.
Bleezurd response: The cash shop and BP work fine. No issue here.
They gotta have their priorities.

they dont get lag and server related issues on the servers they use to try and quality check the game and patches, what they dont see they dont have to fix
For clarification you’re talking about bandwidth, not latency here. The speed of your internet has to do with how much you can receive or send at any given time. Latency is about time, not size, it’s the delay between sending a signal and getting a response, not how much data is moving, but how fast it gets there and back.
When an ISP advertises 1 Gbps speeds , they’re talking about bandwidth, not the speed of your connection in the way most people think. 1 Gbps is your maximum capacity, how much you can download or upload at once. But that doesn’t mean each bit of data arrives instantly. Latency and routing determine how fast the connection feels especially for real-time stuff like gaming or video calls.
Quite literally a 56k modem could have better latency than your 1Gb internet because of the path it took to get to the servers.
Now this doesn’t solve the issue of people having problems connecting to the servers, or the servers having issues for select people. Just pointing out it has nothing to do with your internet speed at all. Bandwidth (1 gb internet) isn’t the bottleneck here, stability and routing are.

I understand what you’re saying, but what I’m trying to get across is that latency is still related to internet speed in some way, and that my computer specs have absolutely nothing to do with the issue. It’s not that I don’t understand like you’re implying.
To put it simply, I don’t experience these kinds of problems with other online games — only Diablo 4 causes serious lag. That means it’s a very serious issue right now.
What on earth are the devs even doing? That’s the real problem here.
Well somewhere along the line, it’s a you problem because D4 runs smoothly for me.
The other issue is the amount of people this happens to. If it happened more frequently to a lot more people we’d have even more posts about it. Sadly it only seems to affect certain people such as yourself every major patch.
For example I’ve never had an issue unless the servers themselves were having huge issues. This doesn’t discredit your experience, but it does make it harder to pinpoint down without going into specific testing with your own setup.
It’s quite literally like trying to find a microscopic needle in a giant haystack. The most support will have you do is go through a traceroute to the server and keep it running while you’re playing the game. To try and pinpoint where the issue is coming from.
This statement for example means absolutely nothing to the devs and doesn’t help them pinpoint the problem you’re having. It’s the equivalent of me saying, “I can drive to the grocery store just fine, but it takes me forever when I drive to work.” Where as my coworkers don’t have that issue at all.
I’m not saying you aren’t having an issue, I’m just putting it into perspective. It’s much harder to find the issue when it only happens to a select few out of the entire player base.
Now what would help more is ‘when’ you experience these issues. Open world, instanced areas, or just whenever you’re playing the game? That gives us specifics. Also what time frame, as it may be affected by the time at which you play and how much other traffic is being sent along the path from your computer to the servers.
It’s the hydra sorcerer animation getting spammed , that is causing the issue , saw it first hand.
