I’ve got the gear to make my build work: a 1xGA CDR Shako with triple crit on cooldown reduction, a 1xGA CSC Fists of Fate with triple crit on critical strike. I’ve poured in time, resources—everything—to masterwork my setup. (I mean, I double-critted Resolve Stacks on my pants and amulet, and I was about ready to rage-quit after burning through nearly 100K obducite, 50K+ rawhide, and billions in gold just to triple crit even one of them.)
Now here we are, a month into the season, and every piece of my gear is still just 1xGA. I’ve seen some 2xGA, even the odd 3xGA drop, but with absolute trash stats. I’m not even trying to chase a 3xGA unicorn at this point. But if you want your build to really work, you need 2xGA. Or maybe “need” is a stretch—want is the better word.
And unlike some people, I don’t have billions to just dump into trade sites for BiS gear. Yet somehow, there are players out here with perfect 2x and 3x pieces in nearly every slot. Then I check their profiles, and they have less time played than me.
So, am I just “unlucky” then? Seriously, when’s something worthwhile going to drop? And don’t come at me with, “Why are you complaining if you’re playing an OP class?”
And just to be clear, I’m not actually complaining—I’m having a blast. It’s just that, at this point, it feels like I’m not getting anywhere, even when I’m tearing through content. It’s not just about running the content; it’s about feeling a sense of accomplishment, about “finishing” a character so it’s the best it can be. Then I can move on and roll the worst class of the season… which is basically any of the other classes.
