How exactly are they losing money? People are obviously paying for the overpriced cosmetics and battlepasses. You buy the game once and there is no subscription. Cosmetic sales just have to sustain the teams working on Seasonal content. New players are still coming to the game, albeit at a slow rate.
Eventually, the MTX WILL be pay for power and/or content. I cannot imagine them sticking with only cosmetics. It will be long enough after release people will forget their promise.
