Finally got around with a decent build, pushed and cleared a T48 dungeon and I am only getting item power 600 gear when I have on high 700’s and a few 800’s. Is there a breakpoint in the NMD level that gives better gear, or am I just stuck with getting this vendor trash?

Until season 1? I have a feeling they are still tweaking and preparing for those new content and once those are out then NMD will get better for sure.
I heard from others that dev said that they already are looking into some QoL features for NMD
I get that they are working on them for season 1, I meant when do the CURRENT NMDs give better loot? Like what 60+? 80+?
wt 4 gives the best loot
maybe wt 5 will give better loot, but nobody knows until season 1…
But there is no difference. 70-100 is the same game.
My guess is that you are on world tier 4 right? I’m not sure, i’m only lv60, I guess someone else can answer this question better.
Well im lvl 80 in WT4 pushing 40-50s in NMDs, and yet I cant get anything to replace my lvl 60 ring. Feels kinda bad.
They don’t get better. I’ve heard some people claim there’s item power 825+ loot at very high tiers but I think that’s just a rumor.
They are buffing NM dungeon rewards soon.
there is item power 825 but thats not on higher tiers its from super unique enemies that drop specific rare items that can roll higher, my current main hand is a 840 mace.
you dont get more/higher capped item power loot but one of the devs have confirmed that with higher tiers in nightmare dungeons the chance for ancestral loot increases

Thats a lvl 71 helm with 817+25 that I have… I think the itemization and level reqs in this game are jank.

The breakpoint is T21, when they start dropping ancestrals. Same stuff drops in WT4 open world.
There is no gearing advantage to my knowledge for pushing NMD.
In regards to level reqs, there’s no relation between them and item power level. Think that might’ve come up on the livestream as something that was unnecessarily confusing.
So you are telling me there is no point in me running 40+ NMDs for gear? lol

NMD seem to be the main thing Blizz want us to be running to gain XP and loot, so they need to drastically improve the amount of rewards. Because currently there boring and the rewards don’t justify it.
Also having to keep grinding the same tier level over and over is boring, Why don’t they let us chose the tier level we want to run like rifts in D3.
I think someone said the sweet spot was 3 lvls above your own for keys.
Atleast until the rewards buff goes live. Which should be soon as it was said they wanted it in before S1.

You can get the endgame 800+ gear once you hit WT4, it’s true. You don’t have to be level 100 to drop it.
But the higher level you are, the more drops will be Ancestral, so it’s more likely you will get good gear at higher level.
TL DR: if you want Ancestral “only”, run t60+
Higher NM rewards only change distribution between Ancestral and Sacred (it’s tied to level of enemy), at lv 115+ (t61+) Ancestral drop rate is nearly 100% (I can run multiple of them back to back without seeing single sacred drop). However that’s it, that’s all it affects. IP of given Ancestral items will be always rolling in full available range without NM having impact on floor, ceil, nor bias.
Note: For whatever reason gear that drop from monster’s spawned by events within NM do not seem to be affected by that. If someone has some more info on that please share, personally I consider it small bug/oversight.
I have 2 items on my build that are base 800 and I am lvl 80. I cant for the life of me remember where I got them. I got them in the high 70’s i know that, just not sure if it was from NMD, World Boss, Helltide, or Gamba.
