We need to be able to customize our builds more it’s already getting boring and not just one aspect per season that does more damage
When they expand the tree i’d guess probably the expansion. Many of the skills on the trees are very lack luster.
Take Rogue for example. They only have 2 melee core skills flurry and or twisting blade and then 3 marksman abilities, barrage, penetrating shot and rapid fire. Which majority players run Rapid Fire because of the damage output it has with Pen Shot being close second. But the thing is the aspect for those 3 skills are just meh, Barrage has a chance to split arrows when it ricochets, pen shot just splits the arrow, and rapid fire only ricochets. Where are the aspects that actually alter the skill to do something different.
I really do hope they add more to the skill tree with the expansion because as it currently stands it is really lackluster. Even D3 launched with 5 different runes for each skill while D4 has a whopping 2 (3 if you’re generous and consider the enhancement).
I miss general aspects that change the main skills. Instead of damage when stopped, damage when the resource is full. Missing is: Your main skill increases range by 50%, your bow skills gain 1 more shot, rapid fire does not shoot another 5 -8 arrows in sequences now shoot 8 -16 arrows at once within a 60° radius. That’s what we need. I played all the rogue seasons, all rapid fire, because I like it. But the game is poor in skills.No single crosbow?
Agreed with what you say, the aspects should be in essence similar to how the runes were for skills in D3. The Runes altered the skill to a degree that it would do something different, but also the legendary items from D3 took it a step further.
I mainly played crusader and monk. Funny thing about crusader was the condemn build where you ran condem with Vaccum rune, then you had blade of prophecy which triggered condemn on condemn enemies and then with the shield Frydehrs Wrath it would make condemn have no cooldown and make it cost resource instead.
Kind of a shame we don’t have these interactions for D4. I mean some skills do have different interactions with skills, like ball lightning made it orbit. Puncture for rogue every third cast had poison imbuement etc etc. But wouldn’t it be cool to find a legendary aspect that turns Penetrating shot into an explosive arrow or ice arrow that sends ice shards on impact.
i agree they will most likely add to skill tree on expansions but i think thats a bad idea, tbh they should look at last epochs skill tree, each skill having its own small skill tree is nice.
You don´t like our current skill bush? I mean common you can choose from two things, thats more than enough, average D4 enjoyer can handle more. Looks like you need more medicine ![]()
Yes, rapid electric fire stunning everyone, penetrating shot burning for 3 seconds, The ideal would be to have runes similar to that of the seneschal, which increase the radius, the range, reduce the recharge… But I don’t believe in that. So we will have to hope for more aspects and that serve more skills.
Last epoch is destroying D4 on this.
