Whats up with all the hate towards thigs game?

Graphics, Animations , Sound effects are just top tier. You can tell they poured alot of resources into this game. Combat feels extremely good ( best combat out of all ARPGS ).

Screen isnt cluttered with sh*tload of monsters so you can actually see what the hell is going on. Such a refreshing experience. Game runs smooth on my 8 year old pc. While PoE ( a 2013 game ) runs WAY worse. ( Almost unplayable by now )

I honestly dont see why people hate this. Even got mixed review on steam. Why? It’s just a fun experience, not overcomplicated, not too simple either. Blizzard hit the sweet spot with this game. And oh boy the art of this game is truly unique. Just blows you away in some scenes. It is like a painting came to life.

Simple bcs you mentioned these 3 things as first reassons why game is good your option is not valid for me.

May I kindly ask what lvl you are and were at pre-seasson/seasson 1/2?

Same question for PoE.

well d4 for sure has its flaw here and there. Personally i have quite a good time tho.

i think many people just want a game they can marry to fill some hole in their lifes. Thats not something d4 can provide. If you take it easy and play with some friends, or solo, you can for sure have a good time here.

Also i think a problem is that d4 has a mixed playerbase. Some expect more d2, some expect more d3, and then theres also the people who expect it to be an mmorpg due to the open world. That for sure is a recipe for clashing opinions.

Graphics are a big factor in ARPGs. Imagine you spend multiple hours a day playing a game at least you look at something beatiful instead of a blob of puke. ( Sorry Grim Dawn and Poe ) btw i’v got 2.6k hours in poe.

Yeah not for me. Yeah its good if it looks nice and you are right I like D4 looks, its just not important for me.

And what about your time in D4? Its honest question, bcs I also really like D4 early on. Major flaws are in lategame.

Yep.

D4 is just a fun ( and aesthetically pleasing) experience to hop onto for a few hours after work/school whatever. If you want to no-life grind 12 hours a day something then D4 isnt for you.

exactly. to be honest, thats why i quit WoW for example at some point. all that progress raiding with the fixed raiding days, the daily grind the constant number tweaking to adjust your character for the next progress boss was just too time consuming for me and left no room for any other game.

There’s no better way of playing with ones self.

Diablo 4 is a corporate cash grab platform that was developed with marketing research and systems designers. Marketing research tells us how players spend their money and what they will spend it on, along with how to get repeat customers. Systems designers implement the marketing strategies into the platform.

This is a cash grab platform first, and a game second. If passion and heart were part of the Diablo 4 development process, we’d have a thriving community, and a top tier industry defining arpg. Over the past decade, blizzard has become a greed infested corporation that treats their employees like absolute trash, while the corporate leaders reap rewards of everything that is purchased digitally.

This is the same company that took Overwatch and destroyed it by renaming it to “overwatch 2” but making it free to play and highly monetized. Overwatch 2 is now a dead game… similar to the current status of Diablo 4. We have nearly 5 clans filled on Diablo 4… under 20 people came back to play season 2. This is from a community of over 10,000 that came from Diablo 3.

However, if you like the game, kudos to you. Also, OW2 ranked matches can take over 10-15 mins just for a match to start.

I don’t hate the game. I rather enjoyed the initial grind.

But with 40 years of gaming under my belt, as soon I weigh the luck of RNG, with the bland repetitive nature of this particular game, the materials required for summons and whatnot; I quickly become demotivated.

The funny thing is, the game has all of the right ingredients, it just poorly executes them.

I think most people enjoy the game but hate playing it… it’s so good and we really want to play more of it! but there is no content… end game content is scarce and there just is nothing more to do, people get angry about that, because they really want to play more! but can’t…

So yeh, I sure hope the devs crank up the end game content a lot! and all this end game content does not have to be gated behind keys/materials either.

I would play an alt, but since we have no stash space, I won’t, so I’ll just be angry/disappointed with the rest of the crowd heh heh.

Hell tides and blood tides kept people busy, but that has come to an end as well (the fun of it) and the devs decided to add a 3rd hell tide version, the holiday tides… and that’s just more hell tides style game play… so of course, people are angry about that now because we’ve already played 1,000 hours each doing helltides/blood tides and we can’t take any more of that kind of game play.

You read a whole forum full of complaints, yet were still so confused you had to make a new post to ask people to explain it again.
You need interpretive dance?

its because the forum is full of entitled children that think everything should be handed to them and d4 should be an afk auto-clicker. the children of the forum dont want to work or put forth any effort for anything at all.

Because the content that is included in the game is poorly done. Sure, the animations are good, and sounds and music. But the main gameplay and progression is terrible.

Graphics animation and sound dont really make a game ‘fun’. Back in the day the graphics were crap, the animations non existent and 8 bit sound but most were very fun to play. Diablo 4 just is not fun to play…Its kinda aggrevating, the loot sucks, character classes are boring, the end game is rubbish. The Campain was good tho.

Ur right. Sound and graphics are good but the rest is poop stain.

How do you make such a good game bad.

I have NEVER waited 10-15 minutes for a queue in OW2….

Content… thats all there is…

the thing is you have 2 groups… casuals and gamers (diehard players / veterans etc)

people make new builds with new stuff to max damage.

in my personal opinion (playing mostly sorc) the whole loot stuff ain’t working with the aspects.

you farm gear and aspects in a way. good aspects you take off… but if the item is not that great you will look for a better one and put the aspect on that.

in my opinion aspects should be removed of the game and there should just be legendary drops. ohh great aspect on it but crappy rolls. Let’s hope i find a better one.

this way you will be farming for a good item. combining the aspect/item lvl/rolls part into one and that is the easy part in my opinion.

if you would have a legendary drop only with the aspect build in. its “harder” to find good gear. and more of a challenge.

people run the vampire thing now to “grind” for some aspect take them off look for a good item (legendary / yellow) to put it on and you are finished.

as for season 2… (in my opinion) there are too many leg drops. and it floods you with gear in the vampire zone. in d3 when i heard the sound of a legendary falling I was like damn run run lets check it. now I don’t really care to be honest as i check if the aspect is oke…

and for ILVL 925 i need to do duriel or whatever. as anything below it is most likely lower in max stats.

I think this is 1 of the main reasons I am not enjoying D4 as much as D3 (i play it enough dont get me wrong)

also legendaries should feel legendary and with the above thing mentioned (making the aspect static to the item) every drop could be a upgrade (due to rolls) and this way yellow gear could become interesting again too… (as the rolls / stats could be better than that what you have on your legendary)

think of the uniques… you cant take the stuff off and you can’t reroll people grind for that to get a good one… (that is kind of the thing/feeling you need)

Uber duriel saved season 2… without it people wouldn’t play that much anymore.
then we will come to season 3… will people continue that farm/grind to get the uber items or do they need to add a boatload more?

because you will need to make that decision is it worth it to grind duriel for that single item or can i make a build without it? (and yes grinding make the materials not tradable so you cant buy them with real money as alot of people do)

Progression is terrible? Path of Exile removes XP from you if you die after lvl 80. And that game is infested with after death effects and oneshots. Please do your research before straight up calling something terrible.

Imagine how much fun it would be with good itemization. The adrenaline pushes you get when finding a new magic item. 12 hours only? peasants… 56 hours a day!!! (how even possible? i dunno. magic)
