What's the point of T1-T3?

This. I swear some posters forget that there are people who actually play the game solo without copying builds. These are the same posters always griping about the game being too easy and there is nothing to do weeks into a season. Funny that.

because there are couch dads out there with 5 wives and 10 children, casually playing the season by advancing 1 tier per month.

Yes but there is no need to progress between them either as you can get everything in T1, until you have the armor and resistance to move to T4.

At least 2 of these torment tiers are useless. I have said this since this change was made.

no especially with new chars, and if you are not the ultra meta hardcore sweaty, you might be able to farm t3 very well…but not t4…and t3 gives much more xp than t1

can someone explain to me what this is all about? what would improve in the game if we only had t1 and t4? or only t4 or whatever?

we now have the possibility to adjust it quite finely, what do we as players gain if this is removed?

D4 has a lot of problems…t1-t4 are not a problem, you could overhaul that if we don’t have any other problems…

they should rather put their energy into bug fixes than such nonsense

I don’t get what was wrong with the old Nightmare and Inferno difficulties. They were perfectly fine.

The point is nerf the meta builds.

ā€œOh yeah season was great guys. I played for 1 week now I’m ready for the next one. Guess I’ll sit on my thumb for 2.9 monthsā€

Or buff everyone and everything and add more difficulty.

you should apply to blizzard for damage calculation and mathematics

I would be both the hero Blizzard needs, and it deserves.

OP thinks he’s somehow special for hitting T4 basically right away and wants to gatekeep those that can’t. That’s what this is about.

Talking about gatekeeping in one of the easiest games on the market  :joy: :sob:

I’ve never set foot in T4 on any build. I’m very glad there’s a T1.

I go on normal mode all the way to 60, then straight to T1. Personally, I don’t see the point of everything between normal and T1.

Meta builds? Getting carried? Why dont you add trade and rmt while you are at it?
How about you and your ilk dont rot our apple?
Play the game in the intended way and you wont end up outsmarting yourself.

Intentionally make a bad build with zero synergies and avoid all of the game’s always-online multiplayer features and maybe you won’t end up accidentally trivializing the new season.

That’s no small requirement.

Let’s pretend for a moment that you cannot trade. This means that between two different characters sometimes you’ll get what you need right away and sometimes you may take quite a while to get it. If all you have is T4 and Penitent how do you bridge this?

The tiers exist as a difficulty slider that you set according to how your character is performing. Why in the world would they ever take that away? If your build can do t4 not long after you hit 60 then you have to prove it via The Pit. If you can’t then you don’t get to be in t4. System working as intended.

If you think it’s so funny, then why are you so for it?

Your original post talks about getting carried in T4 and players not being strong enough for it, so clearly you recognize that part of the player base falls into needing T1-T3 to play, so why else would you want them abolished?

Focusing only on the meta would imply that if you don’t play meta, you couldn’t play the game.

VERY BAD IDEA.

(Plus, the meta isn’t always fun.)

Then do so, and leave others alone. Your suggestion and thread are poor.

Nothing was wrong with it, it was the act of change for the sake of change to make it look like they are doing a lot, without actually addressing the real problems.

An excellent question.

Hell is other players.

Beyond that, if we didn’t have T1-T3, there wouldn’t have been a point to this thread. O … waitaminute … what was the point of this thread?
