Long story short, the social aspect of the game is trash. Trying to group with people, interact with people, invite people. Everything is just bad.
Take a leaf out of Diablo 3’s book please. It’s supposed to be online so make it worth it. Right now it’s a single player online game.
Yes, despite all the other issues this is definitely the worst part of the game. No sarcasm.
I’d play more if it were better. I sincerely hope that VoH improves social dramatically.

This is the thing. I don’t think people quite understand how impactful it is. I literally played Diablo 3 for years simply because of a few people I socialized with along the way.
I literally only played Baldur’s Gate because I could play it with friends, and I got 595 hours of that game.
I agree that this social system is absolutely garbage. Also on top why is group plays getting punished… fights are harder, but rewards are even worse. Patch updates always takes a million years for huge bugs that shouldn’t take 1-2 weeks to fix for a live service game. I feel like everything is always behind schedule

Words out of my mouth. Only now, in season 4 it feels like what the launch should’ve been. Same with the social aspect. I just hope they listen, because it’s so difficult to get into groups and socialize.
Public games in D3 was so good. I understand why it isn’t in D4, but c’mon, give some kinda alternative without me having to go on some third party site or discord to look for it. We’ve had it in previous versions, so why not give it to us now, and expand upon it.

Hmm so when someone with a higher post account agreed with you their post count didn’t matter but when they don’t then the post count does? I don’t want to speak for them but your post title was a little melodramatic.
But anyway to your original post I suspect social features are coming with VoH when one of the main bullet is the dungeon you need to group up for. Not sure if we’ll get any information on the 18th or if that’ll just be for the new class and no other details.
I haven’t pre-ordered VoH, but if they give info on social features, I’m sold.
Not that my pre-order/don’t pre-order argument matters. But the social features would get me excited in the pants (where my money is, dirty dirties!)
D3 was trash and outside of the pit ive rarely played single player. Its not difficult to make friends or join a clan.
Once they finally add a lfg feature everything will be made easier to accomidate pugs
I play solo so doesn’t matter to me. But the few times I have used the social features they are pretty terrible so I can understand the desire and even it being a deal breaker for some.
I would venture a guess that with the release of VoH and the new raid that comes with it, they have yet to surprise announce the group finding tool to be coming to the expansion. They like doing certain surprises at certain times. Take a look at the pet for instance… We been begging for that for a while and they ninjad that in as a surprise. At the same time it also helps server stability if there’s less things left on the ground
I’d also just slow down and enjoy the moment man. If u still around you get to see how all these changes over time keep making it better, and you will only be able to live that evolution one time. It’s a cool feeling. The newer players don’t get to experience that down the road, but I like living it as it grows…

Party finder details with placeholders were datamined in S5 PTR. No further info on when it’ll be in the game or whether it’s solely for the raid/endgame “co-op” activity or what though.

It’s not just about “Trading” - it’s an lack of and abject loss of various STANDARD FEATURES that were present in previous titles.
The shill earlier is foaming at the mouth in their “#D3 bad” usual harangue which has changed dozens of times in context - often blatantly erroneous (abject blindness) but the vitriol is there for D3 and the sycophantic devotion is here for D4 - odd. Odd person all the same…I digress.
Anyway - many many systems. From Menu UI, Clan UI and QOL, Quests, Trading, Social, Matchmaking, Trading…
It’s a TOTAL DEVOLUTION of Basic abc 101 systems and is truly …no words. Just Why?

That’s because Blizzard adopted some of their previous habits into a live service game, like bundling 500 bug fixes into one big patch, along with balance changes and everything else. And of course from that doesn’t ever arise more bugs and issues.
Just be glad they aren’t waiting 6 months or longer like in the past.
I am leaving Blizzard, S4 was my last season. This is sinking ship.

People like the poster you responded to never talk about the game in a GAME FORUM, they are best put on ignore forever. Nothing they say will ever hold any interest for those that are here to discuss the features, issues and experiences of the game.
Normally I ignore “post count” posts because of how idiotic the concept is, but to be fair, here…it is warranted when that person is trolling, telling someone who is discussing the game to “get a life”. You must see the hypocrisy in this. 
I mean OP was just talking about a lacking feature in the game, which is a legit issue.
