Normally i follow robs guide, but he has been mostly plaing SB this season. Been doing leapquake, but the damage is pretty lackluster i must say.
Throw barb seems strongest, but doesnt really feel like playing a barb imo. Barb you be melee not ranged, right?

What is your goal? Pit pushing? general T4 content?
Pre mid season patch Upheaval is able to clear 102, but that build is dedicated to Pit pushing.
Mighty Throw seems to be the best barbarian build right now with some nice multiplicative damages. I run a combo bash cleave/hammer of the ancients/mightly throw and have hit a high of just under 10 billion in damages with bash, but that’s once in a blue moon though. I love bash cleave because it’s so versatile and can do everything. I build my barbarian with attack speed and 100% critical chance, and use hammer of the ancients and mighty throw as supplemental/support damage to activate extra multiplicative damages. Plus it’s just fun to throw in some other skills instead of just bashing all the time although bash is my bread an butter.
If you want the best then pure mighty throw can’t be beaten because of the 3 multiplicative damage features. That skill has a 200%(x) damage plus pulse, then you have an aspect that add 2 more throws for a total of 3 while doing 70%(x) damage on a 2H weapon, and another aspect that does 200%(x) damage on a 2H after spending 100 resource. That’s a lot of multiplicative damages. The only reason I don’t run mighty throw as my primary is because I would have to give up The Grandfather 2H sword, and either the Shard of Verathiel or Doombringer for the Third Blade. Giving up the Grandfather or Doombringer would cost me too much survivability because I’ll loose a significant amount of health (I’m at 50K and marching toward 60K). Giving up the Shard of Verathiel will cost me over 61% attack speed in cap 2. I can make up whatever less single damage in bash cleave vs mighty throw with significantly more attack speed.
If you run mightly throw and want it to have the best performance, then you really have to dedicate to it. Bash cleave is a little moore versatile in what gear you can run. Deathblow is a good one too specially with the update to the boss damage but you have to dedicate to it like mighty throw, but it’s not good against mobs.
just the best build to speed pits, in order to maximize xp boost from the event and to get to lvl300. Currently at lvlp270, mostly by playing SB.
Should i follow the guide on maxroll?
Upheaval guide on maxroll? Absolutely not. That version is too slow for speedfarming. Our best speedfarming build is WW dust devil.
Mighty throw (overpower) is super fun. Its boring if you play it like a ranged build. I play it like hota. Does pit 100s no prob. I do 1. Rupture 2. Cota 3. Ground stomp 4. Rally cry then bash & might throw.
War cry and challenge shout i get from runes. Just point points into them for full effect.
I turned up my nose at mighty throw too but once i got it going i love it
which guide to follow, i dont have time to figue it all out myself. Are the ones from maxroll anygood? last updated on 20th nov.
I took the maxroll one as a base and through trial and error found stuff i liked / disliked. The banished lord talisman version is closest to what i play. Biggest changes is i use the weapon master board over carnage and stick might glyth on it. Speccing 450% zerk is pretty easy and wpn master has an attack node too. Basically its spend fury to win lol. Dont use any resource cost reduction
Also i use crafted boots over yen with the extend zerking aspect. Dont use that perma zerk aspect. Can use a big dps one instead on gloves

Search for mighty throw
dont understand though, the top guy there who has a build availeble uses:
Mighthy throw, frenzy, bash and Hota on his skill bar… how are u going to use so many skills?
I think he has a video too…so watch that and see?
I missed some of the chat, but seems like HotA and EQ are getting buffed, so if u’ve incorporated those into WT, then you’re probably in a good spot.
I personally don’t like the octopus style gameplay having to cast a bunch of skills before getting a buff. Is it healthy to feed OCD behavior? (spin three times, clap, spin 2 more times, clap 3 times…)
Mighty throw is solid, but it’s a slow, clunky build with no flow to it. Speed runs? Good luck with that. Feels like he’s carrying a wheelbarrow full of the weapons he throws. Clunky. That’s the best word to describe it.

My problem with MT build is that it doesn’t make me feel like a barbarian.
Actually so far none of the builds except WW/DD made me feel like a barbarian. I don’t feel like there is immense strength behind those attacks.
exactly. leapquake is a ton of fun. Buffs will be next season, so no use atm

True if rely on overpower as dmg dealer.
I’ve heard of crit dmg only MT but havent look it up how viable it would be
It’s the one Blizz is trying to sell you on. There are a couple others that work but overall Barb is trash now.

ye i stopped playing after the campfire chat. What kept me going was the grind to 300. SInce i am already 270 i figured ill just do it once. Now they said paragorn xp will carry over to eternal, so i dont see a point in grinding more.
I have a build up on MoBa. Called Bashkar’s Invincible Deathblow on community builds. It’s pretty fun, but demanding. It has a full rundown and a video before the patch. So check it out. It runs at 73k HP, 2b trash and 26b boss…

Nice! I’m glad you got Lucion to work.
How does Undying affect the math? Can you run 12 Invig if using it instead of Concussive?
