What will make you want to play D4 in season 7?

I absolutely agree that the current balance, apart from Spiritborn, is the best it’s been. I also think T4 difficulty is good for those classes, maybe make it a little bit harder or add T5 for people that really minmaxed and still want a challenge.

Spiritborn is what makes this whole season ridiculous.

What I want to see is D4 to be good. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Nerf the drop rate of rawhide and increase the cost for rawhide by a factor of 100x.
  2. Nerf the mythics drop rate to 0.0015% on T4 and nerf the boss mats drop rate by a factor of 200x.
  3. Nerf chain lightning, lightning spear, fireball, dance of knives, twisting blades, bone spirit, bone spear, minions, bloodwave and every single skill on the barb and druid by a factor of 10x.
  4. Buff all skills, passives and legendary nodes on the Spiritborn by a factor of 1 000 000x.
  5. Remove the scroll of retempering and weight the trash stats to 99.9%.
  6. Nerf the ancestral drop rate by a factor of 1000x.
  7. Increase the EXP requirement for paragon 300 by a factor of 100x.
  8. Nerf the drop of masterworking materials by a factor of 100x and remove hellborn as option in the infernal hordes completely.

This is D4 last chance. Don’t screw it up!

Don’t think anything could make me want to play at this point. Itemization and gameplay loop not doing it for me.

Class balance. More player agency in master working outcomes. A slightly shorter paragon grind. Easier to obtain ancestral aspects.

Seriously? Guess we don’t have to worry about the next expansion. The game will be completely dead by then.

  • 1-60 progression has to get better. Right now, it’s a souless, uninteresting journey. There needs to be meaningful ways to improve your character beyond just leveling up such as improved access to uniques, aspects, and runes. Not asking for max IP, max aspect, or legendary runes at level 6, just asking for on-level powered versions at greater frequency. Maybe also enable Pits and Hordes pre-Torment too.
  • Figure out a way to give meaning to white, blue, and yellow items. There is absolutely no reason for these items to be in the game beyond the very earliest of playthroughs. I mean, white could have served as bases for runewords ala D2, maybe magic (blue) still rolls with 2 affixes but they are always double power, and maybe yellows roll with 4 affixes but half the power to give you an option to upgrade to legendary that has 4 affixes versus 3 but the four are at reduced power versus the 3 on a regular legendary. I dunno. Just do something.
  • Add paladin. Do it.

Fun detected. Must put a stop to it.

at this moment, nothing.

Short of paying me…

  1. Get rid of Para boards. They suuck. Let us collect Xp to get a chest reward each level up, or maybe 1% magic find each lv up. Para board atm just bloats dmg and adds no gameplay variation.

  2. Get rif of tempering. Instead take all the Stats from tempering and add em to the loot pool. Then make items up to 6 Stat and let em go hamfist on RnG. All of this while adding the aboslutly necessary Loot filter even small indies games have…

  3. No more assymetrc skill development. I don’T want to gather 6-7 specific items to push 1 certain skill from my char to then spam it 100% of the time to kill a bazillion mobs. Vanilla D3 gameplay was awesome. No midnless spamming of 1 skill, no jumping all over the place, no neon storm on screen. Impactfull gameplay where teamwork was apreciated to tackle the foes. Jeez all those sweaty hands in Butcher Fight on Inferno mode with my pals. That was glorious.

  4. Much lower mob density. Give the mobs back there personalities. Now it’s all a homogenous mish mash. It doesen’T even matter what it on screen for most parts its all just a mass of dissapointment.

Ofc nothing of this will happen.

Free skins from the battle pass? If the season’s solid, I might just stick around longer.

Nothing. With the bugs in this DLC and season I am not playing season 7… They exist in eternal but not at the level in the season.

Early access games dont typically get shut down to be worked on. They are basically just live service games.

they release it.

Oh agreed, but I was to believe this would just be a beta test for PoE 2, and not an early access. I haven’t really researched it all mind you, that was just my impression, so if it’s early access and not just a beta test, this would make more sense.

Honestly, a commitment from Blizzard to never do that to Eternal again. Seasons are fun, but watching them get essentially deleted is painful. I will be more enthusiastic to build seasonal characters and spend time finding gear if I knew it would be usable after. I like to play 50/50, and I do not have time every season to play.

They called it early access in their delay video so thats what I am goin by. They already had a closed beta.

Not sure what will get me to play season 7. Its not season 6 with a new dog to follow for opals thats for sure.

I mean… nothing? I’m playing no matter what. I’ve been with this series since 1997 I’m not leaving now.

I survived. The Hellfire multiplayer scam. Crash wars era. Soj economy. White/ith weapons in d2 closed. Failed d3 launch and AH……

And millions of other issues that were way worse than what’s going on with D4.
