What were your favorite parts of the D4 beta?

Instead of more complaining I was hoping people could post what they liked about the D4 beta. What parts of the game stood out as the best to you?

For me it was:

  1. The gameplay was solid and smooth
  2. The campaign was voice acted well and was engaging
  3. The items felt interesting and the gearing system was unique and well thought out. It was really nice to be able to move affixes from legendaries onto rares and reroll rare stats. It’s a great system
  4. The classes felt fun to play. I made 3 different characters and they all had their own unique play styles
  5. The graphics and art direction was fantastic

What where your favorite parts of D4?

I really liked that hardcore mode was ready for the beta. I only play hardcore mode, so that was a VERY good thing for me.

The class armors and transmogs were looking great.

Agreed. Atmosphere and music was spot on. Perfect for dumping hours into this game to, come launch. Fighting felt smooth with those satisfying snappy ending animations. I love the idea of being able to piece legendaries together and change our builds accordingly.

Very good game with potential.
Just hope they keep open PVP for the field and trading or some type of inhouse trading .

Druid seems like it will be fun to theory craft different builds on with the way shapeshifting skill interact, nature spells interact, ability to turn shapeshifting skills into nature skills, ability to turn nature skills into shapeshifting skills, and more. Just hope they aren’t as disappointing as beta druid.

I loved the way the game looked and the gameplay was really fun. I also like the direction they took with an open world. Overall I’m really excited

I really liked, that I could choose to uninstall

After playing in the end game closed beta and knowing what thats like my favorite after the open beta has been the whines on the forum. By far the most entertaining. People judging the balance of characters off the first 25 levels and writing novels about it… pure gold.

My favorite part is that the story isn’t a boring black and white good vs evil story like I was expecting.

I find myself rooting for Lilith, like genuinely, and I’m looking forward to learning about what’s going on and struggling to decide where I stand.

It wasn’t in the beta, but I’m especially excited for PvP and hoping it’ll be my favorite part of the game.

As a Diablo 2 player, Diablo 4 did a lot of things better than what Diablo 2 did.

The gameplay, the balance, the atmosphere, the characters, and to a smaller extent the items (Diablo 2’s itemisation is quite good still).

The story from what I saw was ok as well, with a lot of potential in it that I will dive into after game launch

I love the build guides on YouTube as if anyone needs to know what legendaries to farm for level 25 lol.

When the beta ended.

The graphics and the auto-switching for weapons on Barb, I was told this also works on other classes like druid switching out forms for certain, but not all skills. Does this happen with rogue too when you go from melee to ranged?

About 90% of the info the streamers and youtube tools are pandering s false too, some are passing it intentionally knowing that for views… sadly it works. Itll be funny on release, but im sure theyll start backtracking a few weeks out. The forums are going to be endlessly filled with garbage though, so I can’t wait to see what made up hilarity comes from here.

My favorite part was playing. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

  • Character customization (basic but at least I can attempt to make my own hero)
  • Transmogs: looks and free
  • Story
  • Mount armor I had drop from silent/whispering chest (RIP)
  • Open world
  • Zone art/details (amazing)
  • Octavia’s quest chain (more please; lets finish the town and move to another.)
  • Combat/gameplay

unninstal part, still very troublesome.

You hang out on a forum for a game you do not like? Get out of the basement and go for a walk.

I enjoyed Octavias quests as well
