I got my first one this season and didn’t even realize it was an uber. Starless something or other ring. When I finally realized it, I checked out Maxroll and discovered it was best in slot for a few builds. Eventually made a Firewall/Meteor with the Meteor Helm and a Barrage set up when I had the other uniques for the builds, switching the ring to whichever build I was running.
Funny thing was, it came in like my first Duriel runs of the season, a set of 7 runs I farmed up and sat in my stash because I didn’t know what to do with it.
Any way, what kind of luck have you folks had this season?
My very first (and only) Uber Unique I got was this ring in S2, and I too didn’t realize it was an Uber Unique as I got it on my rogue and wasn’t planning on using it at all. Haven’t gotten one since, but I also don’t farm for Uber Uniques either. I’ve killed Duriel maybe 100+ times from S2 to S3? I don’t keep track, I just farm him for 925’s and if friends need an extra body. Who knows though, I may actually see more in S4.
Playing solo and not doing duriel rotations pretty much eliminates most hope for many uber uniques for me, that’s why it surprised me so much I actually got one. I man, I might run 50 to 100 Duriels in an entire season and like Iggi, it’s mostly for 925 gear or the odd unique like God Slayer or something like that but as far as farming like a maniac (not an insult just saying it takes more dedication than I can muster as a solo player) is a no go for me.
Yeah, it’s funny though, when D4 first came out, I had a couple of guys I blasted the game with. It showed me how fun group play could be and we started a clan together. But that big nerf patch chased them both off and I’ve been solo since because I’m slow to trust other players will be forgiving if you might be carried here or there depending on who you group up with.

I have had folks invite to group up but after answering one and winding back up World Tier 2 when I was running World Tier 4 because they expected a carry without whispering me to check if it was okay, I’ve pretty limited my “grouping up” to the folks that are in World Boss or Legion Events with me.
I managed to get every single Uber. Had to make Sparks out of the ones I didn’t want though.
The only uber I’ll always strive to get is the Lycander Spear.
That weapon alone has gotten me through the toughest fights, and I love the flashy affects when it kicks in.
LOVE the Shacko as well for the plus skills
and the Heart of Selig is ALSO Awesome because of the attack boost, and movement speed (and as I’m playing a Sorcerer Mainly it’s a good Buffer as a MANA SHIELD).
I might try to get my Ring simply because it’s named after me though.
I found like 4-5 uber uniques, 4 of which I wanted, and the 5th got thrown in the stash. I completed Season 3 in about 3 weeks after it went live, and I have long forgotten Season 3 by now
It kept me entertained for a bit, but not more than that. S4 should be more interesting though.
