What to do with boss mats on Eternal before S8?

I play exclusively on the Eternal Realm and as a result have a ton of boss summoning mats stockpiled. It’s my understanding that they’re doing away with them next season and I am not sure what to do with them. Should I sell them or use them?

I haven’t played the PTR but from what I’ve heard they are making bosses harder, meaning they’re aren’t going to be one-shotable anymore, and also nerfing the Ancestral drop rate and taking away the increased GR chance for Ancestral Uniques. So with all that in mind it seems like it might be a good idea to use up all the mats now and farm the bosses while it’s still lucrative to do so?

Not sure they are getting rid of them.

I remember reading they increased the mats for Varshan from 4 to 12.

They won’t be getting rid of them, just slimming what you need. So for example Andy won’t need both shackles and pincushion dolls. You’ll just need the pincushion dolls instead. More than likely they’ll have a conversion option at the alchemist for mats that are no longer used.

4 to 12 is better since you get hearts everywhere. I have so many of them, i cant lower my stash fast enough.

I had to convert from the last time on eternal and can confirm, there should be a conversion at the alchemist for doing such things.

They still have the conversion there for neathiron. I dont miss those days…

Whenever someone brings up how bad Masterworking is, I try and remind them of the Ingoloth and Netharion situation.

Yes, farm now. Drop rates on GA’s getting nerfed. Cost going up (especially hearts). The drops now will be something like 1600% better factoring in quantity and quality. By the time the next goblin event comes around you will be swimming in boss mats again anyways. Either that of you’ll get flooded from the boss mats from season headed to eternal. Good luck!

Some will be going. Use the alchemist to convert them during s8 if there’s an option. If you leave it much later than that you may miss the chance as they pull things like that off the alch after a time.

There may be no option for these ones though. We’ll see soon enough.

Or they simply didn’t play back then because the game was universally lampooned at the time and for good reason.
