What the hell am I doing wrong?

Ok, im para 181 and been doing all the things, using all the things…knocking out bosses, gambling with the homie, decided to look up some guides and at para 181 I have two ancestral items…two. Is this intentional as being the new super grind? Bad RNG?

I have also inspected plenty of people to see what they are rocking around my paragon level and most of them arent rocking ancestral items that hard either. I am smashing T2, barely able to survive early T3 and just feel F’n stuck and frustrated.

Any advice, or is this just the way it is now?

Bad RNG, Try to level the glyphs to 46 at least, then work in the masterwork mats doing nightmare dungeons or hordes, and if an Ancestral drop, just replace the item. The jump from T2, T3 and T4 is huge. For T3 you need to be doing at least 10 mil damage and for T4 20 or more.

Everyone is complaining about low ancestral drops. Just keep going you’ll get there.

It’s a bit more grindy this season. It needs to be adjusted. But until then just keep farming. Hordes chest, obols, whispers, bosses for uniques. The ancestrals aren’t always great but you should find some 1ga without too much effort

Edit: I’m Paragon 270 and I’m still stuck with 1ga for most my gear. My pants, gloves, and 1 ring are 2ga. No usable 3ga or 4ga drops yet after about 180 hours (maybe a bit less).

Hordes has a guaranteed 1 ancestral, so you could try grinding lots of hordes

What class are you playing?

I’m paragon 252. I have ancestral items but none of them have BIS affixes. I don’t even get excited anymore, I know that I will vendor whatever in my inventory. I don’t remember the last time I see an aspect upgrade sign on an item and all my aspects are far from complete.

Looks like they have chosen to cater for the no life grinders this season. I’m not planning to be around if they don’t change much.

You have 181 Paragon points but have had only two Ancestral items drop? What?

That is what you are doing wrong.

I recommend getting enough mats/potions/Incense to boost your exp!

Then I recommend doing Infernal Hordes (hopefully with a good Carry).

IMO- Best thing about Infernal hordes is that if you do have somebody to carry you, you could die (try not to of course) and you’ll still get all the aeither that drops.

Use the Aeither to getter better loot from the chest (maybe) enough crafting materials to master work the gear that you’ll eventually get.

*Also do Tree of Whispers, that grants a lot of exp. You don’t have to do that on T III, do what you can on What you can kill. Eventually the gear will be better then what you have and you’ll be strong enough to properly handle T III (and then eventually Tier IIII )

Been grinding plenty of them, 95% of the time they give me a two hander that I definitely don’t need. Im went with a full meta spiritborn/quills. Usually I do my own thing but I missed a good chunk of the opening of the season due to being in the hospital for a motorcycle accident.

This is my line of thinking at this point. I might just finish out the seasonal quest and wait until next season to see if things get fixed. Fenris crash has been annoying the F out of me too.

Nah, ive had more than that drop. Most just happen to be two handers that I definitely don’t need. The others have ridiculously bad affix rolls that arent even worth trying to re-roll. The ancestral drop rate themselves have been absolute shiz though.

I just ran IH big chest at one level below to get as many as I could. I also ran helltides maidens. A few fell there.

The weird thing is my first character was a Druid, my alt is a Barb and I can barely use any of the Druid gear, even if it is generic aspect it is locked to Druid…and s5 this was not the case. Uniques are easily shared if the class can use it. But the Ancestral Legendaries I was able to use like 3 out of probably 2 entire stash tabs. Which is weird. I even burned aspects onto them and no dice.

So I ran them again for barb. I still have to get an ancestral amulet and I have pants just have not tempered them yet.

This is definitely a thing with SB this season. Over 90% of my legenaries have been 2 handers. It’s frustrating.

I was in pretty much the same position. 45 hours in, playin the new class but made my own build without looking at any guides.
Got stuck at pit 50 - 55. Kept dying even with max resists and barely doing enough damage.

Maybe 3 or 4 GA items, but bad rolls. Tempering is weighted against you so good luck not wasting good items. Mats are scarce. And Im constantly out of gold.

Im not a fan, season 5 felt a whole lot better to me then what they got now. Way too grindy feeling for me.

so i just caved and looked up a buildguide. Threw something together with barely any proper rolls , just getting the build alive in the first place. No glyps, either. And the build just instantly does pit 65 or torment 4 plus.

I think I have better RNG in terms of Ancestrals in S6. I think by Para 180, I have Ancestral gear in every slot.

IF you dont trade in this season you are fairly sunk ever getting 2 or 3 GA lego items.

Sounds like they locked ancestrals to the class that found it, so you can’t farm them for your alts.

I don’t trade. Well, I trade in global chat but someone is trying to sell me an Ancestral aspect for 20 billion. Lol no way.

I got 2 star GAs in all of my gear slots and still have backup in my stash.

Not true. The items with stats or aspects for other heroes will say sorc but if you enchant the item off int and off sorc aspect you can use on other heroes.

The stupid red tag is just a warning its not a restriction.

I thought that, but then why are like 3 usable? Maybe special drops like goblin or TOW?
I thought it was a bug honestly.

Yep, agreed. I don’t mind a grind at all but when you spend a full day knocking things out and you have nothing to show for it other than a few paragon slots it makes me want to break out some Jack daniels and watch a movie or something.
