What should I do in Season 4?

I logged in today for the first time since the end of Season 2. I looked at my necromancer’s gear and changed his armor transmog and his mount. Then I logged in my rogue and looked at his gear, and shortly after that I logged out.

I haven’t decided what to do for Season 4 yet. The options are: a) don’t play; b) make a seasonal druid and level it up (haven’t played this class yet); c) play my bone spear necro (my favorite class/build so far) on eternal to upgrade his gear. I’m thinking I will give the season a week or two to start to see how buggy it is before deciding.

I did 1 character each for seasons 1 and 2, but I’m not sure I really want to grind through another season. Perhaps I’ll just wait for the expansion.

I initially played season 3 for a few hours to do the season story then just dropped it

I played the PTR and enjoyed it allot, leveling a sorcerer to 75.

I’ve since gone back to grind out a few of the free things on the battle pass and it’s such a slog compared to the improvements made in the PTR.

D4 still needs more work but allot of the changes coming up are pretty good.

The codex fix for aspects in particular is a fantastic QoL improvement.

Let’s make it a poll. In season 4, should I:

a) not play

b) make a seasonal druid and level it up (haven’t played this class yet)

What should I do in Season 4?

Not leave the decision up to a forum? That’d be my first suggestion.

Second suggestion would be to ask yourself some questions.

Do I like playing the game?
Do I think I will like playing the game with all of the changes coming?
Do I want to grind out another character for a season?
Do I want to play my character(s) on Eternal?

If the answer is yes to any of those questions, you know what to do. If the answer is no to all of those questions, you also know what to do. Sweet and simple.

It’s true, I am, but I can also make the community opinion a factor in my decision making. Hence the poll!

If not playing the season means no more posts like this, then I vote don’t play the season.

Then you write a list of pros and cons of each decision, tally them up, and see which one wins. If you’re this indecisive about it though, might I suggest not playing entirely?

I get the feeling you’re the type of person to overthink things, which is fine, we all have our own personalities. So the easiest solution for these types of people is to eliminate the option of choice.

I’m trying to outsource here. Lists of pros and cons are a lot of work. Maybe I’ll hire a consultant from a developing country to make the list for me.

Actually I’m just the type of person who is staying home due to a cold that is bored because WoW is down and playing D4 right now is pointless. Better luck next time on the psychoanalysis! :wink:

damn, you sure are invested into d4 if you are willing to go this far.

i think that solves your problem. being this massively invested, id say go play =)

I’ll make it simple for you, don’t play. Problem solved. I’ll take my money in the form of paypal or a subscription to my twitch channel.

To be perfectly honest, and maybe a bit blunt, but if you’re not going to ever play seasons then you’re kinda in the wrong game. It’s a seasonal game through and through.

Eternal is a thing, but the game at the moment changes so much that it’s not really ‘eternal’. Seasonal leveling will speed up so much this season that the one real advantage of eternal, never leveling, is mostly a moot point.

I’d definitely play Necro if I was the OP. That way you can grind gear to take back to eternal if you’re dead set on not playing seasons much.

This is subpar work. The contract was for a list of pros and cons. You’ll need to try again if you want payment. :money_mouth_face:
