What is with the lag?

I have been dealing with this for months and I figure “it’s me, it’s my internet” but it is not.
I have < 30 ms to Google and yet I have 1K+ in game???
Some days it’s not so bad, others it’s just ridiculous.
Every single time I experience lag in game, I start pings to Google or my ISP and it’s always the same results - pings to anything are fine, but in game my MS is stupid high, literally cannot complete a dungeon instance because of it.
I have tried every darn suggestion from here, reddit and any source that has any input and nothing is fixing it.
So what is with the lag??
I am running a modern system that is barely a year old, Ryzen 7 5700x, AMD 6750 XT GPU, 32 GB ram, Samsung 980 NVMe drives and here we are.
Please fix this, or give me a viable solution so that I can fix it.

Just for giggles, try setting your DNS servers to google dns. 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4

I will try that, thank you for the response.
I didn’t mean to rant, but I was so upset last night… I logged on and instantly had this issue. Usually I can at least play for a few hours before running into high latency responses.
