Why are smoldering ashes even in the game and why do they take up the space in battle pass. They are literally useless and they’re locked behind level requirement, which doesn’t make any sense, last one unlockable at level 100… Are they supposed to be for alts or what? I don’t understand this system at all.

If you find XP boosts, longer lasting elixers and more gold and materials from mobs useless then…okay. Ignore them.
8 % XP boost in the endless grind to 100? Wow.

You asked what was the point of ashes and I told you. If you still think they are worthless, then ignore them and enjoy the longer grind.
XP at 8% when maxed 4/4 I think is pretty low agreed. However, the others are pretty solid. I think that XP one should be in the 15-20% range!
I endlessly play with gear so the extra material rares is a nice boon… The others didn’t really seem to do much.
XP would be nice but I grinded my Eternal main to 100 before the changes to XP, so it all seems super fast now after experiencing the original xp pacing.
It’s actually quite nice, especially when paired with a flask that last longer because of said smoldering ashes.

I think the point is that the level requirements for them are way way too high.
I’m roughly around the mid 80s in terms of those “rewards” even though my toon is only level 69.
I think rather than the late nodes giving x2 or x3, they should’ve have all given x1 and started earlier and/or just shift the entire smoldering ash stack to the left (in terms of level requirements).
They just feel like they come way too late to feel valuable.
Between that and the free seasonal cosmetics being laughably bad… it just makes the whole “journey” not feel worthwhile.

The level thresholds are so screwed up.
I unlocked three smoldering ashes without BP boosts before I even hit the threshold to use my first one.
I feel like they set the level thresholds before they added the XP nerfs and then forgot to update the BP to reflect the progression changes.
If you aren’t using boosts and only playing one seasonal character you should be reaching ash tiers at approximately the same time you hit their level thresholds; but you aren’t because the BP levels way faster than characters do and it makes unlocking ash tiers feel frustrating.
I would agree, I found myself checking often thinking I had to have unlocked a couple more, and sure enough I was still like 5 levels away.
I agree - this is the one I am using. My favorite part is that it lets me get helltide mats from salvaging things, so I’m not forced to run helltides nearly as much.

I agree that ashes should have started earlier in the journey. I also think once they hit, you should get a pop up because the tiers move along fast and its easy to miss for people new to the game. I didnt realize ashes until I was scrolling back thru at 55 and realized I had it waiting. Which is two levels I went without claiming it.
But to say they are worthless? Please. If theyre so worthless, then dont use them.
That xp boost should be like 25 percent maxed not 8. Lvling is already a chore with this boring season adding nothing as far as content.

In fact it sucks. I’ve leveled to 100 solo on a awful grind and it isn’t impactful. If these are season buffs they could give like 25%-30% more xp. Why not? What’s the fear of leveling faster in this horrendous grindy system? Giving 8% it’s like they are laughing at us, even with potion and +10 levels monsters is very unpleasant.

Do you know how bad this game would be, if everyone just “ignored” all the poorly designed parts of the game? You literally would have nothing left.
