… other than cost? I’m not sure if it’s working as intended, but wasn’t it supposed to be, that ancestral aspects could be imprinted only on ancestral and normal on normal items for example?
In any case, if you find and extract a normal aspect on level 10 item because it had a perfect roll you can stash it until you find a perfect ancestral item later and imprint it on it having an ultimate shortcut now, isn’t it too cheesy?
Especially the ones that have static values, like maximum skeletons… It doesn’t seem to matter, it’s just more expensive if you extract it as ancestral, or does the ancestral status increase the static value at all?
Nothing besides costs
No you’re making an error.
Ancestral Aspects have the highest rolls of the Aspect.
Ancestral Aspects can only be put on Ancestral Gear.
Sacred Aspects have the second highest rolls of the Aspect.
Sacred Aspects can only be used on Ancestral and Sacred Gear.
Legendary Aspects have the smallest roll ranges of all the aspects, but can be used on any tier item.
I.E.
You can use a low level aspect on an Acestral, if the aspect is required for the build. An Ancestral version of that same Aspectis going to outclass it by 2 tier buckets in rolling power.
The strongest characters in the game are gauranteed to have nothing but Ancestral Aspects.
Last time I checked, the rolls range didn’t matter if it’s normal or ancestral (i.e. Necro’s Aspect of Embalmer - “Consuming a Corpse has a [20 - 30]% chance to spawn a [Blood Orb]” this never leaves the 20-30 bracket to be higher, like 30-40 or so - not to confuse it with an amulet’s 50% bonus) and you definitely CAN imprint a normal aspect to an ancestral rare or legendary item (look it up), so you’re making an error and the question still stands…
I think he said they could be places on any.
725+ power lvl aspect may reach higher rolls. I cant confirm this personally, though. But its how it works on equipment. I dont believe ive gotten an aspect that high yet though. Not that Ive been checking aspect lvls, ive only checked how good the roll was.
You don’t keep the role on the item, it re-rolls when you extract. And lower level items have different ranges than high level.
It depends on the aspect. Aspects that have % ranges do not change between normal, sacred and ancestral (only the cost to enchant).
However, aspects that have damage values ranges DO get better as higher tiers.
My observations:
- the possible % ranges don’t change with the tier of aspect
- the flat number ranges do change with the tier of the aspect
- using a higher level aspect on an item will raise the required level of that item to the level of the aspect (possibly making the item unusable if the aspect was from a higher level item)
Ok, I actually figured it out, basically what you’re saying, I managed to make my normal legendary amulet an ancestral one and now it rolls + to skills sickly high, it’s quite confusing though, flats are increased, percentages not and the orange values absolutely not. But thanks anyway, now I can stop wasting my gold
I also found out that if you put an extracted aspect to an ancestral legendary it wont reroll to the higher bucket, it will stay the same below the minimal roll that would be possible.
