I don’t understand what having a higher item power number means.
I’ve got the same Unique Ring, 776 vs 805. The lower item power item has higher stats. Not just one stat is higher, every stat.

There are breakpoints where the ranges shift. 725 is the last one i think, everything up there only can be better in case off armor value or damage numbers i think.
So, in a nutshell.
Item Power determines how high those stats you are referring to can roll inside itself.
For example, the range on the roll could be like this:
(15% - 30%) Critical Damage
Your ring for example might roll a 21% increase. you can change this, read further down.
Now there is also break points that increase it. How this works and I will use those two you have there for example, 776 and 805. The breakout points for any item are 725 and 825. What this means is the stat max roll caps inside those brackets increases and upgrading the items can assist you in getting them to those breakout points.
For example:
725 - (15% - 30%)
825 - (20% - 40%)
If you have a certain stat you want to reroll like for example, again using the crit damage example above and you find an item with a low roll on it, you take it to the occultist and you can pay gold to reroll the stat but be warned, it might reroll to a different stat altogether too, so if it has the stat on there that you want and is low, take a chance to roll a better version of it and if it doesn’t roll the same stat, don’t over write it, you can skip it and keep the lower version of it.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for the detailed answers. So you always have to get over a breakpoint, although the game does not specify these breakpoints.
In my case, 776 vs 805 is technically the same number.
