I haven’t really bought anything, done any imprints or anything. Just some paragon points, repaired my gear a couple of times. I had like 4 million gold and I just looked and I am down to 800K. It happened to me the other day too where I was at 5 million then looked and I was 2 million roughly.
I have never had this happen to me with past seasons. Is there some new mechanic in this season that I am not aware of? Do you lose gold when you die in a dungeon?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Masterworking and tempering takes quite a bit of gold. Even repairs can be 250k.
unsocketing gems is no longer free
Maybe health potion upgrade. It is expensive now
Sounds like you a lower level player. Id be willing to bet you still leveling up.
Also be willing to bet you did not look at the price when upgrading your health pot. We have some major Bidenomics going on in D4.
Run whispers. Best way for gold now. Eventually you will sell 100% of drops that dont have GA on them.

Well, to answer your question. Earlier today after getting Tree of Whispers reward I had 27 million, didn’t spend any gold on ANYTHING. I went to do 2 more dungeons in T4 for another Tree of Whispers reward and when I turned it in I noticed I have 24 Million instead. I was like what the hell? So moving forward I’m just keeping track and taking screenshots to make sure it’s not another infamous D4 bug. So you’re not alone on this. Something doesn’t seem right. I always keep a mindful watch on my gold. I been playing since the game came out last June 2023, and far from a noobie. - Hope that helps answer your question. I also suggest you take screenshots and watch where you spend your gold, since Blizzard decided it was a good idea to charge players ridiculous gold for leveling our Health Potion, which is actually a very BAD and unnecessary idea! Nothing more than an extra burden to players for no good reason!
And let me be clear about this, if this is in fact a bug and players are losing gold randomly in the game, especially after all the BS we put up with since the game launched last year, I will NOT tolerate anymore BS from Blizzard moving forward and I will file a formal complaint. Wow, just out of curiosity, I checked the RMT sites for gold prices and it’s $15 for 500m. Guess there is no incentive to fix the gold issue if they’re getting “royalties” or “licensing fees” from these sites. Considering they price 55 Duriel runs at $3.60, they sure know about the gold scarcity and price accordingly.
Where you can trade you will find RMT sadly. Its not hard to aquire gold but ppl just look for shortcuts.
Gold is in a good place because it has meaning. Every season golds had no purpose because you aquired more then you’d ever use.
I hope they dont turn it into D3 where you sit on 1 trillion a few hours into a season.

On starting an “argument of hate” lol - I never hate and wasn’t trying to start any argument, but bringing politics into a game forum is never good. With this part I disagree with you.
As for your comment about “there is not one politician in DC that is good” - Here, I agree and disagree. Sadly, there are many bad, corrupt folks in politics that don’t care about our Country or the American people, and you’re right about that, but in all due fairness to those that are not corrupt and selfish that are truly doing their best to make a positive difference in our country and the world around us, those are the individuals we should be supporting, big time. The choice is ours.
Do we really want corrupt politicians representing our Country and making it worse? Or do we want individuals who actually care and do their jobs with honesty and integrity for the betterment of our country and the world around us? This choice should not be so difficult. I only hope for the best for our country and the world around us. Humanity can do better!

Its the small animals. Stalking us and stealing our precious loot. Did you really think they collect for us? 
It is not ourselves and improving ourself that will improve the world. It is looking at ourselves and realizing the truth that will.
Reason we elect these corrupt politicians is because most of our population do not want the truth or anyone real they want someone to tell them stories of this fairy tale about peace and security and caring and sharing. Someone who really wants to help cant because people do not want real honesty.
Wife died 9 years ago. You know i wish someone would of been honest with me. The doctors who blew smoke up my… For a week while she was in a coma giving me hope. The people after who said things like “Im sorry for your loss” not single honest person out there i guess. Or I am just too honest. Because i would tell you your wife had almost no chance to live. Or that when she died I was sorry and feel for you but better you than me. THat is honesty.
