i saw many posts about this “BG3” in this forum and googled it. its real name is “baldurs gate 3”. i heard about this franchises already years ago, but never played it.
why are people comparing both games? it looks like they arent even from the same genre. anyway, there must be a reason, why its so popular and has only good reviews on steam.
there were comments like “it feels like a fully developed game” (even its just on early access now). when im thinking about diablo 4, i rather hear comments like: “The game feels more like it’s not fully developed even after 7 years”.

BG3 is the game you get when their is actual passion in the development.

is it really that good? since i heard about it, im thinking about to buy it. but im not sure would i love this genre.
It’s so well done that all the other industry professionals are salty AF about it, because it makes their work look like TRASH in comparison.

It’s supposed to be amazing. When all the other developers (including diablo devs) come out and complain saying it shouldn’t be a new standard…. You have a new standard.
Between starfield and bg3, why would one play this anymore?

If you liked Divinity Original Sin 2, then you will probably like Baldur’s Gate 3.
It is more narrative driven. Not really an ARPG, more RPG with top down isometric view.

It’s D&D essentially.
Slow but very tactical and what feels like an unlimited ammount of options, playstyles and paths to take. No two playthroughs go the same.

Its turn based game, boring as fk. Diablo is far superior

Lol Starfield. I’ve never been less hyped. Bethesda is in the same state as Blizzard, washed up. Coincidentally, so is Bioware. Never trust a studio that starts with “B”.
Yet we got hyped for this?
Even the turn-based game has a better itemization system than Diablo IV.

its turn by turn story mode no full-fledged multiplayer just co-op.
they got it easier than usual
should be great to playthrough twice or thrice and then its collecting dust and nostalgia forever.
It’s because some Blizzard representative said BG3 shouldn’t be considered by players like the new “normal” standard for RPG.
Just like BG3 with both Divinity games before it, Blizzard also had two massive Diablo games done, but still chose to release just a base core experience instead despite having many, many more resources available than Larian.
Simply put, if BG3 is as good and big as rumored, Larian will be putting every triple AAA company out there to shame and considered the new “old Blizzard”, exactly like CD Project did with The Witcher 3 (and until they tried their hands at something new…) and then FromSoftware with Elden Ring.

Not really. Diablo 4 is superior in every way
people are dum
they arent even from the same genre (c)
I played a demo of this game long back at a convention and while it looked well made I just wasn’t really into the turn based gameplay. I can see it appealing to D&D and other rpg players though.
Better graphics, better itemization, no micro transactions, no battle pass, $59.99, 17000 different endings, and offline play.
We got no group finder, no working resistances, no chase items, no innovation, no qol carryovers, no fun for $99.99.
