Diablo Loot drop Font changed back to what it was in Diablo 2
-
Add back Item Bases to the game (Hydra bow, Colossus Blade, Crusader bow, Mesh armor etc, etc.) that goes up to Unique item. Will bring back at least some sort of dopamine that Diablo 2 loot drops had.
-
Removal of Ancestral, Sacred Items. What’s the point of it? Feels trash on trash train. Back to nr.2
-
Reduce drastically Rare Item drop chance to what they were in Diablo 2
-
Add White / Blue Item drop chance to replace Trash that was in nr.4
-
Add Rune words for nr 5. Base Crafting.
-
Add more stat slots to Unique Items so there could be more room to make better Unique items.
-
Unique Items should be level locked. Means same type of Unique item can’t be level 10 and level 70. Yes, you can now make more Unique items, Bravo!
-
Rework and add more Glyphs that are not a guaranteed drops (white/blue/rare and even uber unique type of glyphs)
-
Rework whole Skill Tree/Paragon Board UI to fit in 1 screen without trying to zoom in and out.
-
Add Loot Filter
-
Endgame Suggestion. U have many little regions in Diablo 4 that you can make as an endgame mapping. Each small region have 1 small mini boss. Once done you fight 1 Uber in Main region. So for example Kyovashad would have 4-5 mini bosses and 1 Uber Boss to fight in the end. Now do it for whole map and u will have an actual okay’ish endgame. + U can add now campaign bosses as uber in those spots or add new ones.

Rework Boss fights. More Challenging, more patterns please? Make them Special!

Bring back Soul to Diablo 4
I agree,
Not that i think every idea is perfect , or agree with , but this is directionally where i would like to see D4 be inspired too.
As well as being D4 and doing its own thing.
In a sense, you want another D2? That game is 20 years old. There’s a reason noone under 60 is playing it. Yes, D4 needs help, but making it like D2 is not the solution.
PS some of your orher suggestions 7 to 14, I can get behind, though.
I think they can do better than rune words for a crafting system.
I don’t disagree, but I also think they could make more use of the 4 they have by just breaking the rules more / allowing stronger stats (like the way Oculus gives a massive teleport boost).
Yeah, I’d love to see more glyph options, with some randomization - this could be a good replacement for what charms were without adding a lot of complexity or needing to exist in a player’s stash.
I don’t think that’s needed. They could make a more efficient view of the skill tree, but having all the different paragon paths is cool and the interface for that is about as compact as it can be. I think a paragon planner would be a better investment: let you play around with different layouts, show you the total cost to respec from what you have currently to what you’ve laid out (and let you commit the respec with a single button+confirm dialog), and even let you mark future points to get.
I suspect that something along these lines is coming in S2.
I also want them to add more gating to the open world but increase the level of it. So imagine if each stronghold reset at each world tier, and once you beat the stronghold it would increase the level of the surrounding areas significantly and unlock new random events in those areas where some powerful elites or hordes of demons attack the stronghold’s outer defenses in different spots.
By setting the min level of each stronghold in a region, they could create a ladder of progress even post-campaign. Each stronghold area then becomes an optimal farming zone for some level range, and each level range gets 5 choices (one per region per tier). With 3 strongholds per region and 3 tiers to play with, they could create 12 level floors (the base world + the area around each SH): WT2: 0 / 20 / 30 / 40, WT3: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80, WT4: 75 / 90 / 105 / 115
As you defeat each stronghold, it could unlock the next one and also level up past stronghold areas to equal the current stronghold. The rest of the open world could scale like it does now.
Completely agree with this. No need to go back to D2 mechanics/systems. They need to either improve the ones in D4 or replace them. D2 has a lot of systems that should never make a return.

- accept the game is a turd.
- maintenance mode.
It doesn’t have to be exact same copy as what Diablo 2 was. New things are always awesome. Rune words mentioned doesn’t have to be either if there is a better alternative to it.
But man, wouldn’t it be nice to have a D2 like D4 with all the new features on top of that? or am i Crazy.
Like I played some D4 after a break today, went full nostalgic mode thinking man what if I get a Hydra bow right now or doesn’t matter any other, but it’s just full o Acenstral Items on the ground. I can’t even notice when a Unique item drops from a legendary drop, 0 dopamine, just play go in kill and out and repeat.
That’s a nice idea too, I like it!
Skulk the forums like the rest of the endgame people
How to tell people joined blizz with d3 , they are bashing d2 accept it that it is way superior to d3 and d4. Many modern arpgs took ideas from d2 and expanded them , thats why they are better than d4. (Grim Dawn , Titan Quest , Torchlight , Poe , Last Epoch). Yet there are people who dont want to hear about d4 getting ideas from d2 and expand them and make them better.
I seriously expect that they will fix something to attract more people and then take five steps backwards back into the trash can having optimized maximum profits and cutting corners to minimize operational and maintenance costs.
I would think Blizz would need to pay people at this point due to their reputation is quite damaged after s1 launch.
