What happens to current ancestral items?

I have a ton of good items I have worked very hard grinding to get for several builds. What happens to those?

they get down graded to item power of 540. The new Max IP is 800 in VoH. If you had greater affixes on these items, it will no longer have GA, as GA only rolls on ancestral items which appear at 800 IP.

I guess the good news is we get a break for the next month. No reason to grind for now. I can’t plan to gather gear if I don’t know what I’ll be doing for gear until S6

The only reason to play Diablo IV now is farming gold and materials for Uber-Bosses. Item with 3 x Greater Affix on the ground? There is no point to even pick it up.

I got my first ever 3xGA to drop 2 days ago. My odds of finding another after S6 is gloomy.
