But you don’t…that is the whole point of this thread.
I got this human form Tornado build into Tier 4 now, it’s a bit slow in tier 4 and struggles against bosses, but still have a ways to go on equipment, masterworking, glyph upgrades, and just getting ancestral on a few peices
Well they turned Stone Burst from an A/B-tier skill to an F-tier skill by changing Anticline Burst aspect to be useless, so you could try that.
I’m pretty sure at this point, they are intentionally making skills bad or worse to reduce their workload re: “balance”.
Earlier I said maybe 90s, but nope, too optimistic. I got an 85 with 4 or so min left after killing the boss, which took far too long. Alternative approaches with this spec would likely involve finite adjustments like Eliminator paragon glyph instead of Unleash, spamming 900 more masterwork resets till the gloves finally hit 3 on Primordial (at 2 atm), but I wouldn’t expect 5 PIT lvls as a result. Scaling is steeper than I thought, just like my t3->t4 expectations lol. Also in late PIT, playstyle becomes too dominated by the need for Enlighten uptime so its just see targets, then hop - hydra hop - ice cube hop - fam out - hop - ult - burndown. lol. The passive is great even without fam enchant, but I still dislike it conceptually. Oh well. It got flamefeeder glyph to 91 and Hydra provided an essential input (burn) and did decent dps the whole time (I tell them that) so im set
You mentioned oculus though so if I do more build stuffs I think its going to be with this in mind (either that or like a burny build). I used occy from S1 - 3 and then the enchant from 4 to s7; this patch is the first one that I didnt incorporate it and help me im so slow
Yeah not sure why they changed that, possible because everyone was spamming it and it was not good for the server?
I don’t use Stone Burst Actively but it is proc’d a lot by Nature’s Fury and Lightning Storm.
You may need to backtrack on this one.
So I had a build and if I am being honest it had a lot of Bould-a-Bear, and Cataclysm, and Lightning storm, stacking lightning damage. It was strong no doubt and it will easily hit T4.
But then I thought this was supposed to be a tornado build so I changed it up.
Dropped boulder for Cyclone Armor for the vuln, LS is still there but only for ranged damage, it is secondary. Might even swap it for Stone Burst.
Cataclysm is being used for its unlimited resource.
And it is a build that relies on OP.
Will post a video tomorrow of how it plays.
I might be ready to push t4 now even though my glyphs are like 28 but I would like to get them to 46. Should not take too long.
Having the hardest time getting ancestrals for any of the uniques I need.
Helm, Mjolnic, Boots
but I do have 750’s with the right affixes on it.
The only ancestral I have for uniques is Banished Lord’s Talisman.
Yeah no shapeshifting concepts,
Sounds like you may be trying the same build I am currently trying, using the boss power to remove vulnerable, along with activating boss power to drain all your resource, activating power to cause stealth and increase overpower.
Then the human key passive helm, Banished lords, Mjolnic, lucky hit to restore resource, and earthen might procs.
Not exactly, I was not using the power to remove vuln for stun, or the stealth for OP multiplier…although I probably should rethink this one…
Not even trying to restore resource
Ring has cataclysm cooldown, Using flickerstep and the boon for ult cooldown.
Still have the +spirit gen on chest and the +10 from boon…but may remove the chest affix for t4 resist, based on how consistently I can have Cataclysm up 100% of the time.
Interesting, sounds like you went about it in a much different way. I’ll be interested to see how ours differ, I may have to record a video later.
I have changed things around a bit again, now I am able to hit occasionally for over a billion, I switched to use the main boss power that activates when you cast a core skill and have barrier, it seems to be more consistent and work better. Looks to be that every other tornado overpowers, and works properly with the rune that gives 100% damage boost for spending all your primary resource.
I do this a lot even in T4.
You sound like you are much further along than me though, I am not seeing numbers that big yet.
I am in Torment 3 still looking for GA uniques for the 3 pieces.
I just beat pit 50 with glyphs at 30 and everything is MW less than 8.
So thinking 55 will not be an issue.
I did put the belial 2ndary in, not sure I see a difference if I am being honest. I replaced the one that you are using as main Blackmailer’s, I was using it for the barrier when fortify is generated. I don’t really need it as EB is off cooldown a lot, but EB is also how I fortify. I just put that in because I lost one of my EB aspects when I took on Flickerstep, because I opted to keep symbiotic instead of that EB gets 12% more based on CC. So that 2ndary was getting me the full barrier = health.
My Boss Powers are Varshan Main, Secondary: Belial, Avarice, and the blue crit one. Yes this means every second I am around an enemy it will drain my resource. But I am at about 99% uptime on cataclysm when there is enemy density.
There are some moments when I am resourceless when there is less density, but not a big deal currently, might be at higher level so will need to re-assess it then.
Quick question have you found a StormChaser aspect at 5 full value? Mine is at 3, well 6 on my staff. Can’t seem to come across those the aspect itself seems rarer.
Yeah so I captured a vid of the 55 pit to show you how it plays.
But apprently I need to re-add the display in OBS because I was recording in 4K yesterday and it only recorded the top quarter corner.
But yeah was able to beat Pit p55 while glyphs were at 34, and gear at highest is 8/12 some are not even there, 3 non ancestral uniques…so not spectacular gear.
I can just post a vid of how it plays once I correct the issue.
In Torment 4 now and this is my Tornado Druid:
You just want to hit EB, Hurricane and Cyclone Armor whenever they are up, and you are constantly hitting tornado. And the ult you can do the same, whenever it is up, you will get the cooldown. Other than that just look for crowds to evade through. Not really even using Lightning Storm…but you can throw that in if there are things in the distance.
full build here:
I have 3 extra paragon points on the planner than I do in the game…not sure where the discrepancy is…
*One last note: I know I said I don’t really notice the difference with the Belial 2ndary power, but the stealth is nice, way less aggro when I am resourceless. So definitely better than just having my barrier at full health amount for now.
Here is my current build doing two pit 60 runs, with one spirit boon change, switched between the poison from storm skills so more consistent poison and higher general overpowers, vs lucky hit restore spirit so more consistent overpowers.
I have 45%, 4 on my tornado aspect.
I am also using Ursine strength and hands use Earthern might also works with storm skills. I would like to try a fists of fate with a GA on lucky hit and good role on damage if I eventually get one, and move things around a touch.
I actually swapped the boon for the nature skills 10% chance to cooldown ultimate by 2 seconds…while it may help, it really is not needed with FlickerStep in play. I swapped that to Crit Damage. And it plays almost exactly the same.
I was trying to get Waxing Gibbous for the guaranteed crit so I could free up a boss power spot…but that has its own problems…
Was a good idea in theory…
Yeah I eventually want to switch to use that crit bonus as well, ether away from the spirit, ult, or poison, working towards that. If I get a better cata ring, or GA spirit on lucky hit would do that, best would be both. But really I should test with my current setup, it might be good enough already.
Tomorrow you will play a wanding Priest
Ok sorry, will get off my butt and get Eternal Charged Bolts into T4, just realized PTR was next week.
Ok Done.
Video Above.
Yes it was super close…but I drew what is one of the worst Pits with Electro Snakes and the Vamps that stun lock you. And of course R.Kelly everywhere.
NGL I got pretty fortunate with the 2 Shrines, Artillery and Blast Wave.
And the Boss was slightly easier because the first effect was not a time waster, and I could step out of it without losing too much time. The 2nd one was a time waster but not one of the really bad ones.
Some things for context:
Compared to my S6 with season powers I crossed at 230-234 paragon points, with Glyphs at 50-52. MW at10/12 -12/12 (Think my weapons were 12/12)
So here, it was 230 paragon point, one Glyph at 53, and the rest 52, MW 11/12 -12/12. No Season Powers.
So not really that far off considering they made the content harder this season. But they did say closer to S6 than S7
I also had to lose a 15.7% Attack speed on my gloves to make up Armor, becuase I needed to switch back to Esu’s for the Crit Chance which I was getting from Boss Powers before. and the Fortify was slower and smaller than w Boss powers
But that said, video is above. Not Doing it again.
I CHALLENGE YOU to make a build incorporating Lacerate and Mad Wolfs Glee chest piece while using ZERO Poisons. No poison creeper, no rabies, no toxic claws, no poison powers anywhere at all.
I am done for this season, just going to push pit till I get bored with the 2 characters I made.
I will make a thread for next season after PTR with more defined way to keep it interesting.
So let me say this first,
I am going to play what I want on the PTR.
It is my time to try things out. And the time is limited.
But that said is there anything anyone is curious about seeing or trying on the PTR? If I get to it?
I am reading through the patch notes today, in detail…and already have some curious ideas.
