What does “soon” mean to you? “Soon” is a relative term so it may mean something different to each person.
Me:
Soon = 7 days or less.
Very soon = within 48 hours
Relatively soon = 3-5 weeks

More importantly what does soon mean to you OP I have feeling I know where this post is heading.
Blizzard soon = sometime within the current decade.

Just saying, I have had no intention of making this post critical of blizzard. Like I said some concepts are relative to each person. I have plenty of things to do and I’m not here to make life worse for Blizzard or anyone else.
In game terms, within the month.
My wife asking me to do something? MAybe 1 year.

Similar idea here with the wife. When I say I’m ready to somewhere go soon it means I have to put on some shoes and a jacket. My wife’s version of soon also includes hair, makeup, choosing between 3 outfits, settling on a 4th, input on which shoes to wear and changing bags for whatever occasion we are heading out for.

There are 2 different soon’s, in my opinion.
Soon™ = Whenever
Soon = Next few days or hours

Starting my online gaming with Everquest 1 and SoE, Soon™ is between 3 and 24 months.

Well according to everyone else. It means for them 9 months. As that is the last time anything major changed for the game apparently.
Soon - when i get around to it, normally in a week
Very soon - next 2 -6 hours
Relatively soon - 6 months

I don’t understand why they have to keep pestering me every 6 months about it. I’ll get it done!

Soon = next patch - so about a month maybe 6 weeks max
Very Soon = hot fix ASAP
Relatively Soon - 3-5 months
Anything 6 months or more is future or upcoming plans
When my wife asks me something and I say “soon”, it means I have absolutely no intention of doing it.

Soon to me means see you in the afterlife in the Diablo world, lol
Also if I a man says he will fix it, HE WILL.
There is no need to remind him every 6 months btw.
It’s all about context.
“I will be there pick you up soon”
I expect that to be in 5 minutes or so.
“The new patch will be out soon”
I expect that to be in a week or so.
and so forth… impossible to answer that question with one timeframe that fits all scenarios.
