The Overkill shockwave, to me, isn’t really a “shockwave”. My personal interpretation of a “shockwave” is more like a circle expanding outward from the point of impact. This is what I believe Overkill should be doing. Instead, it looks like a budget, very narrow, version of Upheaval and/or Sunder from POE. I think it needs to be an actual circular shockwave with a pretty fat AOE.
What say you, men? Is it an actual shockwave, or is it trash, wannabe-shockwave lacklustery?

What you’re describing is more of a pulse or nova. a wave is generally flowing on one direction.

Look at the picture of the boat from 1984. That’s an actual shockwave.
yeah it’s not going in a 360 direction it’s a wave going in like a 90 degree direction. everything on that page basically confirms waht I said it’s a singular direction and it spread out as it goes. it’s not a 360 degree expanding bubble
It’s 100% circular. The boat is stopping the other half of the shockwave, brother.
Buddy from that wikipedia article
Shock waves can be:
Normal
At 90° (perpendicular) to the shock medium’s flow direction.
[Oblique]( h ttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oblique_shock)
At an angle to the direction of flow.
[Bow](h ttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bow_shock_(aerodynamics))
Occurs upstream of the front ([bow](h ttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bow_(ship))) of a blunt object when the upstream flow velocity exceeds Mach 1.
they’re not circular lol.
I mean, just look at the picture…?
Have you seen the shape of a shockwave from an explosion? What would call that shape?
Pretty sure those are blast waves not shock waves not everything on youtube is labeled correctly.
[Blast wave - Wikipedia](h ttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blast_wave)
shock wave
noun
1
: a compressional wave of high amplitude caused by a shock (as from an earthquake or explosion) to the medium through which the wave travels
This is from Merriam-Webster dictionary. Circles, bro.
nowhere does that description say circles. lol
“From an earthquake or explosion”.
It’s a shockwave, and it’s a circle.
You need to go back to school, waves do not generally travel in one direction. Sound wave much?
And to answer the question once and for all, this is what shockwave looks like.
