Found this Barb standing near a unique elite spawn location and just spamming skills repetively.
In D3 we’d call that a bot that got stuck on terrain like Spinarooni DH’s often did at the height of that set’s popularity, getting stuck at dead ends and endlessly spinning in place
In Immortal, this would be called a SPOONER. As in strategically placing spoons on top of the phone screen holding down all the attack buttons, AFK farming, basically standing & attacking the air, mostly in the Kulle library that had a small area & massive respawn possibilities.
In D4…it’s probably a lovechild of both.
Should have inspected the person and sent the Bnet tag to Blizzard.
I recently saw someone in the very same spot doing basically the same thing. Maybe there is a bot program getting stuck in that area…lol
It could be both, especially now that Blizzard allows exploits.
D3 Bot + D4 Exploit = AFKBOTEXPOTING 1.0
Bot got stuck on the terrain…
Is there anything that can be traded in Diablo 4?
No, but in theory an entire account could be sold.
all rares can be traded
Fair enough. Was wondering what the point would be.
Who cares? Exploit early, exploit often is wha this dev team stands behind.
Man I forgot all about the spooners.
Well blizzard nerfed all the super rares 1.04 They barely drop anything now. Can’t blame the guy. In 1 hour he might loot 3-4 items from that elite lol. If that’s how he wants to spend his time go for it
I got a kick out of frequently visiting the library, reporting the holy hell out of them & then boasting about it in world chat. they got soooo mad, especially when I laughed at them for dying so often & staying dead in-game for half a day at least because they were sleeping irl.
100% macro. The D4 bots move, do events and cellars. This guy is just some low rent AHK user.

Serious question, does it ruin your gameplay or enjoyment that there’s a bot around?
serious question, do you know that there are rules against it?
Im aware there are rules. But what does it have to do with my question? i’m asking if it affects their gameplay in anyway, its a simple yes or no question, just like the one you asked which i answered.
well, you see your “serious question” becomes redundant because it doesn’t matter if it affects his gameplay or not. It’s still against the rules, and the question as to whether or not it does, becomes meaningless…
the same as any law or rule… should it be ok and let the criminal go about there business, just because what they did, didn’t personally affect you?
What are you the self appointed forum police around here? I can ask any question i want, whether what ice cream flavor he loves or if he prefers winter or summer. And it doesn’t matter whether you think its redundant or not. I dont need other people’s approval when asking a question. its not even directed towards you. I was genuinely curious because i am trying to correlate his answer in regards to the whole philosophy on Trading and bots in arpgs. Whether he answers or not is on him.
Except this isn’t a crime, its a policy on a game. I have no strong feelings one way or the other whether rules on botting is enforced or not, I do however, have very strong feelings in enforcing punishment for crimes. What kind of a moron are you to think that letting people bot is the same as letting people steal or murder. And not only that, i’m not even asking because of this reason, i’m asking to get a convo going on botting and how it affects trading and gameplay. You may want to get that stick out of your a$s and lighten up a bit around here and stop being so sensitive.
looks like the average d4 player. bored out of their mind afk
