What are your complaints about Diablo IV?
I’ll go first:
-
Lack of build diversity for all classes. If I wanted to be pigeon holed into one of 3 specializations, I’d play WoW.
-
Unlike previous diablo titles, you can’t stack enough armor/resistances to feel truly powerful at high level content. There’s feeling of real power creep anymore. You plateau but everything mobs keep getting stronger. Item level doesn’t increase proportionally or meaningfully after about level 70. Why grind to 100?
-
Some of these mechanics are stupid - Stand in a bubble for 5 seconds every 20 seconds since you can’t mitigate the mechanic enough to ignore it with armor or resistances!
-
Game still feels like a Beta port. Buggy, inconsistent behavior from AI. Mob aggression is a joke. Events in high tier dungeons are a tragically comical. Seriously, do your coders use spaces instead of tabs? FIRE THEM ALL!!
-
Mob density is threatless, and makes gameplay feel overwhelmingly slow at high levels. Seriously, why do I have to run for 30 seconds after entering a dungeon to encounter 3 mobs? Give me 30 or give me death!
-
Nerfs to “protect the health of the game” - the game is literally cancer right now with how awful canned builds feel. Instead of bringing underperforming classes/abilities up, you nerf everyone so that the game is just a dull shell of what it could’ve been.
-
Developers don’t seem to care about community feedback - would rather triage with BS explanations and fireside chats than actually use their grey matter to think of viable solutions to the problems their own incompetence created.
-
Exponential increases to crafting make the grind more tedious, less rewarding. Yes, I’d super love to pay 5B gold to reroll an item again for min roll 3% crit when all I need is Max Health, thanks RNGesus!
It feels incredible to have paid 100$ for this game expecting a Diablogasm follow up to D2/D3 only to get a broken mindlessly boring grindy game with a half-baked story, coded by people who use spaces instead of tabs, managed by people who must hate ARPGs, and limited playable options for class specializations.
Have a great Season 1 Dev team; I hope your dumpster fire keeps you nice and warm!

That I can’t refund paragon points with one button.

‘Out of touch devs’ is now my top reason. Everything else can take a backseat now.

Clueless, lazy, ignorant, sloppy game design. Fraudulent game title.

The builder/spender system sucks all of the fun out of this game. At least other games treat the builder/spender system as a minor limiter thing until mid game where the players have easy access to tools to get rid of it.
Crafting/Respeccing costs are INSANE.
Lack of any in game trade system (PoE got lucky that the community designed a somewhat decent trading system for them, no chance of that happening for D4)
Those would be my big 3.
That the Devs heavily marketed it as this “Amazing Open World” with “Tons of Things to Do”. Yet the difficulty, rewards, and purpose of the open world disappeasr at level 70. Then you live in Nightmare Dungeons for 30 more levels, to gather enough gear, to go into another dungeon to fight a boss you already fought, in hopes of killing for nothing but brownie points, since she literally drops the same crap you could get out of a Silent Chest.
Instead of nerfing the living sh!t out of all the classes, and gutting defensives. Maybe… just maybe… Add T5,6, and 7, and allow the difficulty modifiers to scale into NMDs.

My biggest problem is that class unique for certain characters suck so hard like these are supposed to be rare why are some of them just so awful and they didn’t even touch most of them in there mega nerf patch

Cool story, you sound mad bro.
The “GAMEPLAY DESIGNERS”.
All the remaining dev team as we can see are very talented people, from artists to the the guy that made the items architecture per example all genius, assign our rolls as probably a float that will after lerp a % range was an amazing idea to allow balancing and updating what bring us to…
How in the name of god someone can mess too much a game balance with all the tools they had in hand? Why paying consumers need to be treated as guinea-pigs while they try validate their ego-based theories about what is fun?
Really tired from these guys trying to validate their theories instead of letting us simply play.

The whole game, throw it away. Keep the art though.
Will wait for D5 or another ARPG that knows how to be one.
Literally nothing about D4 is worth redeeming at this point.

I feel your truth friend, it takes so long to recalibrate paragon. Ugh, what an oversight.
