There’s basically no reward for doing them, but they clog up my journal, and it’s annoying.
What do you do about them? Do you do them? Do you just let your journal get clogged up? Do you avoid talking to NPCs to avoid triggering them? Do you abandon them? Something else?
I usually do gradually do them over the course of the season, eventually completing most of them done by the time I’m deep in WT4, but I consider it nothing more than a chore since I can’t get Glyph XP or anything like that from them.

I ignore them. Even when I pick up a random quest item on the ground due to clicking on other things and it pops in my inventory, I’ll just get rid of the quest. They aren’t even worth going back to town to turn in. Or in the case of the damn Sealed Exorcist’s Cache for the umpteenth time, I’m not going out of my way to kill things for some measly bits of materials.

Already did them all. No need to another if I choose not to. Unless it is one of those random items that starts it I ignore them.
This. There is zero reason to do side quests if you have gotten all your renown rewards before.
After getting my renown up the only side quest I ever did is the guy that said “wonderer I know what you are” Everytime I walked past him in town. I only did it to shut him up.

One of my late alts, If I get to play that long (or as long as I did S2), will lvl with side quests and seasonal content only.
there are some sidequests i still like to do when im bored actually, like the exorcism one ^^
but yea, they are mainly for your first playthrough. (tho, some do give some spare extra mats, so it doesnt hurt to randomly finish them)
The one where they bang the priest’s head to knock some holy senses into him?
Or the one with the demon and goodies? Loved that one!
Or the one with Anna?Anya? In south of the map, where she “oh my headache” kills everyone around?
My favorites are Legacies of Light’s Watch, By Three they come, A series of steps (the one where you meet Andariel again and this time she’s restored to her glory), the series with Rakhaan the friendly demon…and most likely all of Scosglen.
You know you can dismiss the quests, right? Can’t remember if it right click or left click but one or the other will bring up a window with the option to dismiss the quest. Can’t dismiss the ones that notify doing the pinnacle dungeons but all the others you can.
You can just remove any quests you don’t want to do from your journal.

Is there anyway to know which side quests you have completed since launce and which ones you still need to do to have them all finished. I would like to finished them all prior to the expansion.
I just do 'em whenever they fall into a helltide zone, or on the way to an event, or something like that.
You can check your “Collections”, I believe. There’s questlines that stringed together will get you titles. They’ll have the ones you’ve completed along with the ones you haven’t.

I really wish that each side quest had a rare item as a reward that has a unique class specific affix on it. An affix like you can summon 3 golems but they do only 60% damage. Rare items that you can turn into pseudo unique items with all the new crafting that is coming. Or a dagger the makes rogue imbuements have a 75% cooldown reduction, but only one charge per cast instead of the 2 you normally get. All other stats would be RNG except for the unique stat.
You would want to do all side quests at max level to get the best stats but at least they would have a function in every season instead of just ignoring them completely.
I complete them to level a new character, youd be surprised how far you can level by completing them.
some sidequests are interesting but 95% of them are meh.

I am glad rewards are bad so I don´t have to do them ever again. SQ are super boring for me. Go there, kill/click that, go back.
There are few interesting ones if you are doing them for first but that is all.
