This is probably a silly and a noob question, but what are the incentives to start a new Seasonal character instead of just rolling a new character in Eternal?
What do I gain by starting a new character in Season1 instead of just starting a new Alt in Eternal?
There will be new things in seasonal.
e.g. (examples only)
- new items
- new skins
- new bosses
- new quests
- completely new game mechanics
etc
#1 primarily cosmetic rewards
#2 season specific gameplay
#3 Content that will show up in Seasons before Eternal(not a big deal if you’re in no rush).
I’m d3 they would do a lot of balance changes in the seasons where if something was really not good / played, they would buff their tier set and or skills to make it viable. Always thought that was cool
You get another menu to click through, including a nice monetization path (the battle pass). Also they will make the leveling faster and easier than eternal. Plus a few new trinkets and probably more annoying side-quests.
how does season work? I’ve read things that said to finish campaign before the first season, and I’ve also read things like you make a new char for the season… Which seem to contradict eachother…
So will my current main be played in the season or will I be making a lvl 1?
you will start from lvl 1 but some things will carry over
e.g. you dont need to find all the Lilith altars again
how long is the szn?
They’ve stated that the plan is for seasons to last 3 months.
With that said… we’ll see. It won’t be any shorter than that but I could see some seasons being longer if the dev/qa team is still working on the next season
So every 3 months we have to relevel to keep playing?
Can I not play my one character for…say a year?
It sounds like it will be like D2 where your current guy will basically move to ‘non ladder’.
you can still play him, but wont have access to the new seasonal content. that content will likely be a separate ‘realm’ for seasonal guys only
You can, but you’re supposed to want to level a new one every three months and they encourage you with exclusive rewards to do so.
hahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha
An error occurred: Body seems unclear, is it a complete sentence?
You don’t have to play seasons, same as every other Diablo game aside from the first one. It’s just a way to add repayability. The style of game is monotonous as it is, this is just a way to add a little spice to it.
and how does season differ from battle pass?
