After playing the Server Slam, or any other betas you may have played; what class do you feel will be the strongest after launch? Specifically in end-game. I’m debating myself between a Necro, Rogue, or a Barbarian. I’d really like to go Necro but I’m nervous about end-game abilitiy on the necro due to rumors from the community that their nerf killed them.
Edit: Just to be clear, I am not asking for anyone to give me a definitive class to play, or teach me how to “beat” end-game. The original intent behind this post was to provide a place for players to discuss among themselves what classes they felt was best to play in the betas, and to theory craft their own ideas for best end-game classes.
Strongest at what?
PVP?
Farming gear?
World boss?
AOE clearing?

I don’t think it matters, I’m probably going to play them all at some point. Plus I think Blizz is going to be pretty cavalier about balance, so the “strongest” will swap out frequently as they tweak things.

PvE, Single target DPS & group DPS was my main question. Looking for something that’s strong at clearing dungeons & farming gear.
Barb or Druid have the highest potential.
Since you personally probably will only achieve about 50-70% of the maximum potential any class will be just fine.

Because you won’t put the hours into perfecting the gear. Won’t be a top player etc, just like the REST of us.

None it just depends on player, gear, build.
But generally I feel good players playing caster classes (necro, sorc) are always OP.

I agree. Necro felt really good during the Server Slam. I’ve heard a lot of feedback from others who played necro and said their DPS just wasn’t performing well against Ash. I has no problem hitting 150-250 consistent auto attacks & higher crits, and 1,300 overpower with sever.
The Druid is the most powerful class.

Just keeping it real in a topic about “the bestestest class ever!!!1111!!”. You would be neckdeep in theorycrafting already if you actually planned on be a top preformer.
Go as far as you can. I plan to but pretending to be what you (& I) are not, will not help you (or me) at all.

Don’t know, and honestly don’t care, I’m playing barb anyway, did it on D2 and D3 will do it again on D4 and D5

You’re totally correct. People shouldn’t make assumptions like that. That said, unless you plan on no-lifing this game, he’s probably right.
I know I’ll never be on the leader boards, and I’m ok with that. Especially considering what it takes to get there.

You aren’t “keeping it real” you’re being a jerk making assumptions about others that you know nothing about. The title was nothing akin to your example, and you’ve over exaggerating it. I was simply trying to engage the community and get others’ thoughts on the topic. I suppose that concept is a little difficult for you to comprehend but that’s fine, we can’t all have a fully functioning mind. Again, make assumptions all you want but you can never be too sure who you’re talking to.
