What changes for Eternal in S4?

so i see map,paragon points, statues and several other things transfer to the new seasonal char but with all the upgrades,itemization and nerfs coming up, do these new changes affect the eternal realm as well.

Everything listed in the patch notes currently up are coming to Eternal and Seasonal Realms. They have yet to give us the Seasonal Gimmick for Season 4. No one will be spared from all the changes coming. That means Eternal is getting the new crafting, itemization, Andariel, Pits, awesome helltides, the new zoom feature, and whatever other junk is in the patch notes. Enjoy.

Q. What will happen to current items after this rework?

Charles - All of the items you currently have on your characters or on the Eternal Realm, will be flagged as what are called “Legacy Items.” This means they are not able to interact with the new systems of Tempering or Masterworking. They’ll continue to function as they are, they’re not going to break, they’re not gonna be rerolled or changed in anyway. This was an item in the old system, but if you want to engage with the new systems and find those greater affixes and temper all the cool new affixes onto it, and do Masterworking of course, you’re going to need to go out and find new items.

Tl;Dr - Your items won’t change, but you can’t alter them with the new crafting systems either. You will need to find new items if you wish to use these new crafting systems on items.

About extracted aspects after codex update

Stored Aspects will be moved to the Codex of Power for your Eternal character seamlessly when the season ends. It will take the highest of each Aspect that you may have collected into the new Codex.

So, let’s say you have an Aspect in your stash on your Eternal character and Season 4 begins, the Aspect will be automatically added to your codex and Aspect item will be destroyed.

But let’s say you had a max roll of that same Aspect from your season 4 character’s stash, it will then seamlessly replace your lower roll Aspect in Eternal and forever be in your Eternal codex that way.

Just a small caveat is that this happens automatically for anything in your account stash when the season transition occurs. If you have them in a specific alt character’s inventory, you will need to just hop on them after the Season rollover and those will then seamlessly move to the Codex as well.

The seasonal codex does reset. The eternal one is forever.
