What are you all doing to make this class so good

My experience with the spirit borne class is completely opposite of what every one else is saying.
it takes me so long to kill even small groups of non elites. And when I switch from gorilla based skills to any of the other forms I die to everything.

I am wondering, is every one just using all of the same skills, that meta build around dodge or something? If that is what every one is doing then claiming this class is great is absurd.

Either I can survive and not kill or kill and not survive. I am still leveling, but that shouldn’t mean the class is unplayable. Is the viability of this class based soley on a few specific gear drops and specific skills?

There could be a plethora of reasons why you arnt performing well. No one knows the answer based on what you have said as we dont know what you are playing or attempting to build.

And no, there are multiple viable strong SB builds.

I just finished the campaign last evening without much issues. I ended up playing a build that uses razor wings for aoe dmg and jaguar ultimate to reset/allow free charges, scourge for defensive/heals with the legendary that makes it last 6 secs. It all seemed to synergize pretty well.

The dodge build is great (or was, before the patch, not sure how it is now) but it was boring to play (for me) and actually quite weak against bosses. I was already switching to a quills build when I saw the dodge fix news. The quill build probably out performs the dodge build. Against bosses it is just plain daft lol. Not quite as tanky maybe, though. I actually have to use a pot every now and then

I had no problems leveling as pure dot Touch of Death, pest swarm Stinger, and Crushing Hands into Payback thorns. SB had pretty good options for leveling even if not abusing the busted bugs on the class.

Without knowing much about your experience with the game, how you built your character, or what gear you have…

Rod of Kepeleke adds the Basic modifier to your Core skills. This means you can spam your best Core skills without using resources. Banished Lord’s Talisman and Ring of Midnight Sun also helps. The rest can be legendaries, even if you are only imprinting a yellow. I you don’t have any, gamble your Obols at the Curiosity Vendor.

So, if you have, or can get, that item, do so. You’ll never use your basic skill again. Look up builds based around that, or make your own. Good luck!
