A few days have passed, and I haven’t seen any punishment for players who copy items. These people farm Duriel hundreds of times a day by easily copying items, while normal legal players are still struggling in the hell tide. This is What disappoints me most about Blizzard. If there is still no announcement on how to deal with this matter in a few days, I will change my steam review from a positive review to a negative review.
What disappoints me about players is that some are incapable to read official posts, which are stickied on the top of the forums.
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/t/update-october-22-suspension-of-trading-notice/132231/3
We’ve suspended player trading in Diablo IV until further notice due to a duplication exploit. We are working on a fix to amend this issue and will update you once we’ve reinstated the ability to trade. We will continue to monitor this activity to ensure a healthy playing experience for all.
Any account that engages in gold and item duplication exploits will be actioned in accordance with our End User License Agreement.
We thank you for reporting this exploit to us and your patience.
Nothing that i have seen soo far other than the post about suspending player trading etc… They are “investigating” still
But it will more than likely result with a slap on the back of the hand and telling playing players in a firm tone NO thats bad and let them continue to play.
If you look at a certain website iyky back from d2 days its LITERED with Duriel sets right now. As well with other services which i will not mention.
I read it a few days ago. This is just a temporary announcement, not the result of the process. As far as I know, none of the players who copied Duriel Tickets have been banned. I even reported them.
Oh they can read, they just refuse to. Those new to the forums (I.e. the OP) may not know how the forums work, or most forums for that matter. Seeing as in most forums for various games there’s always a sticky at the top usually outlying the rules, patch notes, hot fixes, etc. depends on the game of course not all of them do this, but I would say a good majority.
Now people usually don’t read these stickies and just go straight to posting like OP here. They also don’t bother searching for similar topics, or even take the time to skim the first 10 forum posts. How many times have we seen the same exact forum topic 10 minutes later?
All you can do is try to educate them as you’ve done so already, and just hope they won’t repeat the same mistake. Won’t stop the other new forum posters from doing the same, but hey baby steps.
hah, thats a fight that will never be won
That’s a heavy accusation to throw around at random players you suspect are doing this. Evidence needs to be provided, an investigation needs to be made, and then finally a verdict. This can take a while, it’s not going to happen overnight.
That being said there is usually an automated ban policy in place for people who are mass reported against. So if you and 50 other people mass reported a person in game they would be autobanned immediately. This has been tested in multiple blizzard games, now I can’t say for certain about D4 but it wouldn’t surprise me.
This is no longer a matter of a day or two. possible cultural differences. Game companies in my country, if the worst bugs like this appear in their games, they will immediately introduce effective countermeasures, if this incident does not happen to Blizzard, but to Tencent. They will first ban the affected instance, rather than just ban players from trading, as that doesn’t make any sense, players can still trade by teaming up and leaving the items still on the ground.
Its going to take some time but Rob and his crew better all get banned.
So basically exploit early, exploit often. Nothing will happen to these people. Blizzard has proven then dont give a crap about cheaters
lol
Banning people doesn’t make very much money.
It is the worst official handling of the problem in my 20 years of playing the game, and the official does not maintain various copy bugs for the first time, but also allows it to continue to circulate, and some people brush tens of thousands of thousands of tickets into dollars
if it involved streamers nothing is going to happen
How would you know who was punished? Blizzard will not tell you. But of the million reasons why d4 sucks a few people cheating is not one of the top concerns.
Blizzard tells me all the time when people have actions taken against their account in Overwatch and WoW. In WoW they send you in game GM mail and in Overwatch they tell you as soon as you log in.
You know when there is bans. Will see those “I got banned for no reason” posts all over the forums.
And they say they banned but that is not always the case. And the bans usually not enough for the crime. I remember in wolk in wow guilds cascading one of the raids and avoiding the weekly reset making up MONTHS of gearing on legit guilds and blizzard gave them a 72 hour ban.
They may be collecting evidence and then banning many people in a large wave later on.
I farm a day just have 10 tickets Duriel. Any people have more 100 tickets need to ban, but BZ dont do this. If dont ban, why dont delete Material ? Why they have more 100 tickets ? They bug or rmt. This is sh** ! I seen many sirvice duriel mats ( they always have 300-500 tickets day by day )
usually it’s a ban wave of epic proportions.
if it’s really a good banwave, they get primary accounts that abused and secondary accounts that received.
look, it takes time to gather all the info… after that its like a plague hunt… the original is “patient zero” anyone that interacted has to be checked to see if they contracted the plague as well… then see their activity once all that is done ban waves happen…
then the community here pops some popcorn, grill some meat, pop a 30pk and laugh at all the noobs that come on here screaming “unfair, i hacked, i banned, im not guilty” and we troll them
man i miss the original d2 days
