I just finished the season journey on my first character so I have 6 sparks to spend plus I found 2 mythics already.
However, my current build doesn’t really seem like it has room for them or would particularly make good use of the ones I dropped already. Plus I’m starting to get tired of the character anyway.
So I’m looking for a new build to try with them. Any suggestions? I’d prefer something other than Barbarian since that’s what my current character is.

I use Shako, Shroud, Starless, and Grandfather on my WW/Quakedevil. I like it.

ervery build hast use for mythic uniques. They never are build enabling, but build enhancing. If you use a damage reduction aspect for example, this can easily be replaced by a harlequin crest etc.
itd also help if you told us which mythics you have so far.
I suppose, but it does seem like some are probably more useful for some builds than others.
The 2 I have now are Harlequin Crest and Melted Heart of Selig and I’m playing an earthquake build.
Most of the stats on the crest are useful, but the +4 to skills doesn’t seem like it does much since most of my damage is coming from EQ rather than skills. So a build that cared more about ranks in it’s skills would like this more. The heart seems like it could be ok, but I’d be losing CDR and at least one legendary aspect that might be important. Although I guess I could part with one of the jewlery ones if I really thought the upgrade would be big.
Also, I’m realizing that I might not actually have the runes I’d need to craft specific ones, so I might just roll 2 more random ones and see what those have to offer.

Well, that being said, the heart is pretty much an instant salvage - just like Grandfather. They had their uses but have been lacking recently.
The harlequin crest (or shako for short) is awesome tho and can literally be used by anyone. Many guides will probably prio the Helm of Perdition, but its perfectly fine to exchange that with a shako as a more defensive variant.
What makes shako stand out heavily is the 20% damage reduction, combined with its +4 to skills. (not to forget the maxlife and the cooldown reduction of course)
So yea, long story short - If its the Shako we have to keep in mind for your next build id say go nuts buddy. Try whatever you like =)
eventually you wanna check out maxroll for some inspiration ;)?

Both Grandfather and Selig can be used in that build. However, a Passive Amulet would be better, and if the Passive (or one of them) is Pit Fighter and you focus your Crits there, it can make up for most of the survivability difference while simultaneously giving a damage buff, so I would definitely suggest that over Selig. Throw Bul Kathos here, btw. Extra Damage Reduction and up to 90% eq damage buff.
The extra Skills from Shako are more about other support skills. War Cry level, and skills you might only invest a single point into so that you can invest in more passives throughout your skill tree. Example, I use Leap and Ground Stomp but only put a single point in each. They still do a fair amount of damage because of the extra skill points and it reduces their cooldowns. They also cause Earthquakes of their own, and combined with my rune setup casting them also triggers Spiritborn Vortex which pulls everything into the quakes.

shako doesnt buff support skills.
Support Skills meaning not your main used skill. I’m not referring to passives. This was extremely easy to understand from context seeing as how I gave examples like Leap and Ground Stomp.
