When will Tyrael return in D4?
He certainly didn’t die and the Angiris Council gave him back his immortality through his good friend Imperius.
He himself said:
“Also by this time, Tyrael began to feel regret about his choice to become mortal. At the time, he knew it had to be done, but he had underestimated how weak mortal flesh was when compared to the strength of an angel. For all the Nephalem had achieved, he wondered if he could have achieved more if he had possessed his old strength. Nonetheless, he told himself that as long as they prevailed, it wasn’t worth dwelling on.”
The Nephalem are history and so Tyrael surely regained his immortality through heaven in the end.
The only question is when will he emerge?

Is he even still alive? I think he died between D3 and D4 due to old age.

no he didn’t die in the Game
true, but is there anything in the lore that allows a mortal angel to become an angel again after mathael took his mojo?
the Angiris Council can give him back immortality

ahh, well hope we do get him back he is a staple of the series for sure. Inarius is cool as fk though no lie he is just not tyreal. Plus i think he hates creating mortals since it banished him from heaven.
He was banished from Heaven for secretly creating Sanctuary with Lilith and stealing the World Stone.
After the war, he was given to them as tribute by the Angiris Council, where they negotiated peace with Mephisto.
And he was trapped for 1000 years until we freed him in D3 and killed his guardian.

He’s dead. 50 years has passed after he turned mortal human.

But Lilith wanted to use the Nephalem for her purpose and wipe out everything, including humans…
Which is why she was defeated by Inarius alone and banished to the void
Not entirely correct, -Inarius- defeated Lilith and banished her to the void.
so I wonder if that is the same fate inarus wants for humans as well. I bet if it means he can go back to heaven he would not hesitate to destroy us same as lilith. I don’t think we can trust either of them two.
Yes, Inarius is only ever out for himself. While Lilith have more of a positive interest in her spawn, she is still a demon and encourages demony acts, such as seen in the church when she coaxes the humans to give in and brutalize the preacher.
Inarius fights with humans and not against them.
He wants to fulfill the prophecy, which says that he will defeat Lilith and the 3 great evils and return to heaven.
