Unconstrained from 100%x to 35%x
Walking Arsenal from 12%x per buff to 8%x per buff
Walking Arsenal 20% attack speed to 10% attack speed
Walking Arsenal 20%x when all buffs are active to 10%x when all buffs are active
Unbridled Rage from 100%x to 45%x
Gushing Wounds from 140%x to 70%x then additive damage after.
Protection Manual completely removed - ranks to Imposing Presence, Guttoral Yell, and Martial Vigor are no longer available as tempers.
Battle Trance cut the Frenzy ranks from 6 to 3, added Duelist ranks in place of max fury, and there’s no change to the unique affix.

Them sorry nerd kids did it again, boys. Crying until they get Barb in trouble. Lol!

I’ll wait for official patch notes. Or just wait till Season 5 starts. Numbers can be tune with hotfixes. I don’t see any mechanical changes.

The Keystone passive nerfs are severe and pointless.

That won’t stop me from playing S5 and figure out what the new, best build is going to be for me this time around.

It’s going to be pretty rough for Barbs. So much for the “bring other classes to Barb level” - all other classes got pretty fat buffs.
I agree that we should wait for all the info, especially with unique changes, but the baseline gutting of our key passives is a savage hit to our damage. It especially makes zero sense for the unused WA and Unbridled. No insight from devs.
No (noted) change to the Battle Trance unique affix doesn’t give me much hope for any significant power from uniques either.
The devs are, as usual, incompetent and detached.

Don’t you find it odd there’s nerfs right before the expansion? It feels like blizzard is making adjustments now in preparation so they don’t have to later down the line.

Even odd season meme holds true.
For them to nerf this hard while buffing other classes a few months before the expansion isn’t “odd”, it’s dumb.
Are you suggesting we’re going to get some massive changes or additions in S6 to make up for it? Doubt it, brother.

No changes for barbarians. Blizzard want to sell Spiritborn. The only way to do so is to make that single class overpower. Easiest route is to nerf every class.

Yet, they buffed every other class significantly while squishing Barb.
Nerds got us again.

“Obliterated” is a strong word…gushing wounds is still one of the strongest passives in the game based on those notes. Yes it’s getting obliterated from what it currently is on live, it’s like 50x better than any other passive on live.
Yep and now Barb is dead again, just like at the very beginning of the game a year ago after all the knee-jerk reaction nerfs from the developers. Literally the day of launch of the game. I still remember the original Gohr’s.
I’m upset that we can’t trust anything these devs say. In one breath they say, we’re not nerfing barbs, we are going to raise up other classes to the level of barbs.
Then like 2 weeks later in another action, they gut the class, proving they can’t be trusted for what they tell us with their words. Bunch of liars they are.
If we had gotten just the gushing wounds change, and a tone down on flay, I’d have been pretty happy. Even the removal of the Barbarian protection temper manual is fine.
But ALL of what they did ALL AT ONCE?
Oh no honey. I’m out.

Gushing Wounds nerf is not too terrible, compared to the others, but EVERY other Keystone got obliterated. Now, not only will Gushing Wounds still be stronger than the others, but it’s the only one that isn’t pure, dirty, hot garbage.

All of those nerfs are horrendously busted. This is worse than the HoTA nerf as it breaks every single build and the ones underperformed are literally made worthless.
If Gushing Wounds is busted because of Grandfather, maybe perhaps either address that or how awful Gushing Wounds is designed?
Who was out there complaining about Walking Arsenal or Unbridled lol. Even Unconstrained is just a vanilla bump in damage needed for every build that does not use GW broken interaction scaling.
Like, Flay is way overtuned then they buff it for PTR then add Locran’s which is absurd for GW. 50% Crit and 300% CHD before multipliers? Lol. Oh ger you think this is a problem?

It’s not going to be all that bad really. You will still be able to delete Lilith and Tormented Bosses, Pit 101+ and everything else in the game just fine. No worries. I do not know how we will fare in the Infernal Hordes but we’ll find out soon enough.
Maybe you can’t do Pit 170 anymore but, at least to me, is not my primary focus of this game either.
Barbs weren’t able to do Pit 170 before all the nerfs. Couldn’t even crack 160.
That’s a different subject altogether, and every single build/skill in the game should be able to do all content with the proper investment. Pit 200 being unattainable is a major issue in itself.
These nerfs are uncalled for, excessive, and detrimental to all Barb builds. Especially when you consider that they weren’t overperforming.
Baffles me how these devs got and keep their jobs. I really hope we see some gnarly buffs in other ways to balance out this neutering.

“You can do pit 101” and yeah that’s gonna be about for Barbs if these changes go through, that’s the god damned problem.

By design. Remember in D3 it took players several years before the highest greater rift was completed and the game had enough power creep to make it happen.
I sure as hell hope we never will be able to do pit 200 because it means we’re 100% a D3 clone at that point and it’s been all power crept into oblivion. Might as well just play Torchlight Infinite instead.

This statement seems contradictory. You want it to not be like D3, but you’re also okay with it taking years (like D3) to complete all content.
It’s bad design and causes issues. It trivializes all other content and forces the power creep, power nerf, shuffle and repeat mistakes cycle of fruckery.

No. I said I hope we never will be able to do pit 200. It’s a good thing.
This way the devs can get a measuring stick on the various classes/builds.
Which class/build is pushing higher/lower pits then everyone else?
Nerf/buff as needed to balance.

You want the same thing, but you want a variation of it.
It’s the same concept that keeps failing them.
Why do you think having an unattainable endgame is a good thing?
