Welcome Back Booster keeps auto-tracking on my Character

I have untracked this multiple times on my main (a level 60, for that matter) and it keeps re-asserting itself as my active quest. I would like to hold off until I decide who to use it on but at this point I almost want to just use it to get rid of it.

I’m sorry but I’m at my wit’s ends if you guys could do just one thing without causing trouble I would be amazed.

It seems to happen when I transition into a differently named area.

I would like to know how to disable this, too. It’s the most annoying thing in the history of the world. I’ve disabled auto-pin, but it keeps re-pinning itself anyway.

I’m having this problem too (on Xbox). Would love to be able to permanently untrack it.

This was so frustrating that I logged into a different character just to take the boost (that I have ZERO interest in ever using) but then when I went back to the character I actually want to play, THE QUEST IS STILL THERE!

Beyond annoying, I just quit, gonna play something else.

I am having the same problem. The Welcome Back Booster quest continually replaces the quest I am doing in the tracking window. It’s very annoying.

if you own the expansion you can claim 2 boosts, maybe that’s it?

quests auto-pinning themselves is absolutely infuriating EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. i have hated it since the first time i experienced it. having the “new quest” icon on your journal and unable to remove it on many of these quests makes it that much worse. just get rid of this irritating “feature” already. you have popups on launch for events, that’s fine. if people miss out because they don’t look at that, that’s on them.

i guess what i’m saying is stop pandering to idiots, they will find ways to screw something up regardless, it’s just what they do…

Ah I didn’t realise. Guess I need to waste more time and ruin another character with an unwanted boost so I can finally get rid of the quest.

fixed it for ya :joy:

Pretty sure this is it. I did it on two characters and the quest is now gone.

Agreed; half of the fun for me is leveling my character and figuring out how the abilities work. And when they’re shoving this boost down my throat, especially when I’ve untracked the quest several times, and mid-quest will track itself again, it makes me want to not play. Let me boost a character on my own time please, if I even want to do it at all (which, chances are, I don’t).

I just bought the game.
So in order to play the campaign, I have to first create two characters, get them boosted and only after that I can have story quests pinned (as that damn boost is getting active every relog and every time I change location)?! …

Ugh … great first experience

Blizzard be like “[bad word] eternal players, we’ll just annoy em”.

I also don’t want neither the boost and the unlock all statues. I’ll find em myself thank you very much.

+1 on this. I enjoy the process of leveling a character. I don’t ever want to use this boost. I don’t want to see the quest marker all the time. Please let me ignore / disable / decline this quest.

There’s a quest, go find Elias in the canyon, and he follows you, and then the quest changes to the boost, and Elias disappears. When you change the quest back to the main campagin, you have to … go find Elias in the canyon. It is unplayable in it’s current state for people who don’t want to accept the boost. Infuriating.

have a boost baby, daddy blizzard taking care of you. what do you mean you don’t want it, you always did before. what do you mean you’ve quit, stop your yapping. daddy knows what’s good for you, so you better grab that boost or else…

FFS Blizzard FIX this …just got friend into the game and all we have to do is click on Q and untrack this what a great experience! …shove your boost somewhere…

In the same boat here. I have no intention of depriving myself of the leveling experience, but Blizzard seems intent on shoving this quest in my face every time I cross into a new area. This really needs to be fixed.

On another subject brought up here several times, disabling “Auto Pin” has nothing to do with tracking quests on the side of the screen, it refers to the map PIN and the trail line showing how to get to it, which is added to the map when you track a quest. Hope that helps.

Same thing here, this was driving me absolutely insane. I just went and created a dummy character, crammed this relentless welcome back pot pie down it’s throat, then deleted it. Now finally that is no longer showing up on my main character I wish to play normally.

FINALLY!!! Someone that solved this bug!!! :fireworks: :sparkler:
Thank you!

I happened to have the same problem with that stupid seasonal quest… wanted to do sidequests for the region progress and whenever i changed the region or even left a city it set itself back to the stupid seasonal quest i don’t even want to track… Why Blizzard? WHY??
