We want to have fun slaying monsters

We don’t want an endless grind to farm for an item. Duriel is a good example. Yes, it was fun for a season, but the drop rate is too low and many of us became tired of farming Duriel. In season 3, it’s just a chore to farm Duriel. Many of us get to that point where we have the best items in the game, but never use it, because we don’t see a point in slaying more monsters. Bring us an end game. Bring something we can do over and over and still enjoy doing it.

Who is “we”. I want to play an arpg not an arcade game.

You didn’t watch latest campfire. PTR is coming up 2/4 -9/4

You know they are dropping something called “The Pit” right? That’s something you can do over and over again…

And who is this “WE” , you don’t speak for me.

“we” meaning many of the people who left D4.
Not sure if poor reading comprehension, but we’re looking for something that is fun… not something to do over and over again because we have to do it in order to progress. Examples include helltides.

well, in this scenario its also safe to say “we” dont want easier obtainable ubers uniques.

only adjustment i could see to uber uniques could be removing the summoning mats, while lowering the drop chances for ubers to like 0.2%.

I never understood why people think they are entitled to win the lottery just because they bought a ticket. Seems rather odd. You have just as much of a chance to win as anybody else. Just because you bought 50 tickets and another person bought 1 doesn’t mean you’re anymore entitled to the jackpot than they are.

Now what I would suggest is if you don’t like farming for Uber Uniques, then don’t. If it stresses you out this much because you can’t obtain one, stop doing it. You do not need these items, unless you’re super competitive and are going for the top 10 of the LBs then you might need one or two.

I don’t farm Uber uniques and I have a great time in and out of the game because of it. I actually want to come back to the game, instead of constantly hating the game because I’ll have to do Uber farming every season. Screw that. I got 8 wives and 15 kids, ain’t nobody got time to farm Duriel. This family won’t feed itself.

Truthfully though, if your only goal is to obtain an Uber unique you’re going to burn yourself out. Each time you log into the game you’re going to slowly hate it more and more until you just stop logging in.

It is funny when quitters think that Blizzard should placate them. :sob:

It’s the typical do what “we” tell you to do or else mentality. :troll:

Well, “we” (people who actually play the game) will get a lot more opportunities to get those powerful items (that are not even a neccessity to have) in S4. Guess you haven’t been paying attention. Watch the dev live again and listen more closely.

So you speak for those who left D 4?

How about you speak for Yourself?

They have other games out there you can play to have your fun. No one is gonna hold your hand dear.

I wanna be rewarded for slaying monsters. Game needs longevity in terms of power progression, there should be that feeling of achomplishment of improving your character at least every few days of playing, but you eventually hit that brick wall where you dont feel like your progressing anymore in terms of power so the game gets boring, especially for no-lifers who has more time to play vs casuals.

D4 needs that “the more I play the stronger I get” feeling.

This will probably change a bit with all the crafting and stuff coming. Will have a little more progression in terms of gear at least, and won’t plateau with gear by level 80 like we do pretty much right now. With how things are now you are generally almost done with gear (outside of super min max) before you even hit 100. No real reason to farm uber uniques since they are uneeded. For S3 I was speedrunning t100’s and killing ubers by 89-90 lol. So there is a feeling of really not much progression or much to look forward to on the way to finishing getting to 100.

But, with the changes coming I will actually more to look forward to and work towards. And even with uniques and uber uniques I will have a bit more of a reason to farm for those as well.

Not sure if stupid, but if a lot of people have left D4. We’re obviously not farming uber unique anymore.

Also, you’re lottery ticket analogy is irrelevant. This thread is NOT talking about drop rates. Please reread the title.

So that has nothing to do with drop rates? I guess I was wrong then. Please read what you wrote, thanks.

Iggi – if you don’t like doing it, don’t do it, you don’t NEED it …

Not only is this not helpful, it’s outright dismissive.

If someone doesn’t feel like the current duriel system is good for the game, or promotes healthy gaming behaviors, then by all means, their feedback is valuable.

Why is it that you insist on bullying people into not posting things?

Arcade or not, I want to play a game that doesn’t bore me. In other words, if the drop rates are bad I’m not gonna keep doing it. This is why D3 is gonna keep me going until I’m in the grave and I’m skeptical if blizzard can right the ship in D4. The changes look like one step forward and two steps back.

I didn’t like farming more things to keep killing Duriel so I didn’t bother doing it. I just uninstalled and stopped playing entirely. That said I’m hoping the new S4 changes make things interesting and fun depending on how the end game feels to me.

Okay, I just read what I wrote. Hint: Duriel first came in season 2.

And if arpgs bore you thats ok. I didnt play bg3 becasuse i dislike turn based games, they are boring to me. If I didnt want rng i wouldnt play arpgs.
