Yeah, Larian went all in on that game and has years of experience. But so does Blizzard, or should have. “Larian had Divinity Original Sin and Original Sin 2 to learn from!”, true. But that 4 after Diablo means you should have more experience, plus expansion packs.
“It started development in 2017!” And I think D4 had a similar life cycle.
“It has 3 years of early access!” Funny because I still feel D4 is early access at times, I just paid more for it.
This patch just proves they are completely out of touch with their players. And sure, BG3 is an anomaly because it shows what devs can do if they listen to their player base and give it the time and testing it needs. Not by internal testers, who obviously are playing a different D4 then we all are, but by actual players.
So yeah, I think it’s quite fair that after this patch, we can definitely hold devs to a higher standard or have them rethink their way of working.
