Should be really slow like every paragon point 20 milions of exp or more. But there is no reason to even play lvl 100 char. You done your glyphs and you are done with the game. The grind to lvl 100 is so long you are allready in good gear or even bis gear allready.
There is just no point of grinding after 100.

I think their intentions with Diablo 4 was to hard cap the endgame experience in order to align with Seasonal progression. They specifically stated they wanted to avoid the infinite grind and it’s not a game meant to be played “forever”.

i think its a good thing to get exp when you are at max lvl. Maybe it can give you a box of loot when you get a new level. It works fine in The Division2 for example

Sure I also think infinite paragons are horrible, but they could add another extra 50 paragons at lvl 100.
The boredom on lvl 100 when you dont get exp is huge. I made lvl 100 playing like 3 hours and went to make alt druid. Nothing to do on lvl 100. Everyone will see it when will be there.

People are used to the RPG gameplay loop of getting to max level and progressing the power of your character. That’s not the case in Diablo 4. The paragon system is a benchmark of your endgame progression, and once you hit level 100 you are at the final benchmark. You have your Uber Lilith boss fight, and that’s it. We’ll have to see what the end of Season 1 feels like to get an accurate measurement of how they intend the game play loop to be.
They want you grinding for the 6 uber rare uniques at cap level that can only start dropping at lvl 85+. Harliquin, Granfather, and the other 4 that I don’t know the name of.
Thats why i said to give a box of loot and not paragon points. But still getting xp when at max lvl its something nice.
The chances of the items dropping for you before the next Season are extremely slim.
You’re better off buying mega-millions lottery tickets instead of the battle pass.

You mean like the chance for Shako drop? Are you insnane lol? 8 milions copy of D4 sold and 2 Shakos droped. They can delete them from game and noone even notice. How stupid the drop rate is even with trade it would sell for 10k usd how rare it is.
Pure insanity imho. Just delete the super uniques from game, they are only annoying to me.

Maybe that is just the end of the character? I mean, I didn’t use any UNLIMITED XP LOL" exploit or “FARM ONLY THIS DUNGEON FOR 50 HOURS TO GET TO 100” guide and I’m at lvl 78, 58 and 55 now with almost 300 hours in the game (so I’m for sure not a casual
) it will most likely take me another 100 or so hours to get the 78 to 100 … that’s a good amount of playtime on one character. Maybe that’s just the moment the char goes home and is done with the killings.

I personally don’t like post cap paragon, in D3 it made me feel like if I wanted to play an alt I was screwing myself out of power since I could spend that time grinding paragon instead.
The end result is that I would play characters/builds long after I stopped finding them enjoyable just to squeeze out paragon which just lead to being burnt out faster.
It wasn’t till capping characters took a few hours that I actually started to enjoy paragon since if I got sick of my class I could make an alt, grind to cap in 2-3 hours and then continue farming paragon again.
With the cap grind sitting at 100+ hours in D4 the prospect of farming post cap paragon just doesn’t interest me.

No. but getting to level up to get a cache of goodies after 100 each level would be nice. so EXP has some use after end game and you get a neat little gift when you hit that again.
We just need reward for progression through the NM system. It is pissing me off to no end you do not get any different drops from level 120 mobs as you do from the level 73 base mobs out in the open world.
Mobs scale with you but loot does not. Almost as dumb as annoying modifiers in dungeons with 0 reward for it.

The point is at lvl 100 you got full power of your char with all paragons, there should start the real end game, but there is nothing.
Lilith is stupid fight with zero rewards she drop like 2 legs and I would need to respec my aoe sorc to single target damage, not worth it and no room in stash tabs to keep every item for that fight. So lilith doesnt exists for me.
NM dungeons why would I push higher NMD? There is zero exp at 100 and there is same loot droping at 60 as 80. Zero motivation to push higher NMD.
Helltides are not needed at high levels.
Zero content at lvl 100

So because you had a mental block lvl 100s shoildnt have anything to do?
I agree, there needs to be another leveling system that players can power progress after reaching level 100. I’m not saying bring back the infinite paragon system we had in D3, BUT it would be nice if there was a system where the more we played the more stronger our character got.
I also do remember devs saying that D4 is not a game thats meant to be played “forever” but I have to disagree with them, the game is going to die very quickly if they dont add another activity where players can feel the progression of power with each session of play. Right now it just feels like you hit a brick wall at level 100 and I just dont have the motivation or interest to play that character.
I’m not saying he is wrong, I’m also not saying “100 is the end” is a good thing. What I say is: Maybe that is the intended end of the journey? If you take everything people complain about (when it comes to leveling), that’s a conclusion I’d say. Leveling is slow, item upgrades are not to great once you hit 75, the hyper rares are at 85+ … so maybe the “full power, let’s kill” part is 85 - 100 and once you hit 100 you reached the end (by design).
So many people seem to assume 100 is where the game should start, maybe Blizzard feels 100 is the point where the game should stop?
